I am looking for an active Christian Church in upper Manhattan that is not boring, and is friendly to new comers. I would like to get more involved in the church and their activities but want someplace that is diverse and welcoming.

What can I do next?

Hi Sharron,

You might want to try Redeemer Presbyterian www.redeemer.com

The preaching is excellent and they have good programs for kids as well. I could probably come up with other suggestions if you'd like to email me privately: ____@____.com

Hello Sharron:

I recommend Manhattan Grace Tabernacle it is located on East 103rd Street and 2nd Ave, at a school PS 38 www.manhattangrace.org very welcoming and diverse of ethnicity wonderful choir and they have wonderful programs for both you and your child to get involved in. The service on Sundays starts at 12noon. I was recently sent a flyer and Oct. 12 they are having a special service at 5pm. It's called a concert of praise. Guaranteed you'd enjoy it. Another one I recommend is the TimeSquare Church. Good luck and always remember to ask God to Guide you.

There's a very welcoming one on 86th Street between Lexington and Park on the south side of the street - can't remember the name.
