I have 12 month old twins and they received their MMR shots last week. The other day my little girl woke up with a horrible red rash all over her body and face and had a fever. The doctor says this is normal??!! Has any of your kids had this type of reaction to their MMR shots?

What can I do next?

I have three kids and though my youngest has not yet received her MMR my other two never had a reaction like that. My pediatrcian gave me several websites that give truthful and reliable information on immunizations maybe they will help you.

www.immunizationinfo.org
www.cdc.gov/nip
www.vaccinesafety.org

Good luck.

My son did the same thing following his MMR shot. It was exactly a week later that it happened. But my son also had febril seizure because of the rapid increade in his tempature. Three days after the seizure and his fever finally broke he broke out in this awful rash all over his body. But the rash went away just as fast as he got it. But with everything that happened my son is ok. Just make sure that when your baby is due for her next shots that the doctor is fully aware of the reaction that she had to the previous shots. I wish you the best of luck.

Hi A.-When my son had his shot he did get a slight rash along with a fever. I was scared because they say it is a very small chance it can happen but after a few days the rash went away and my son was fine. I know it is scary but you are not alone.

Hi my name is P. and i would like to give you some tips for your babies cough and colds. Put vick vapor rub on the bottom of their feet and put socks and you will see that their cough and colds will ease and may go away..... That always works for my two year old and for us grown-ups too.

good luck!!!
