Hi I have a 10 yr old and 6 1/2 year old. My husband and I are planning a 1 day little trip to Michigan's Adventure. It is 3 hours away and was wondering if anyone had been there. We have not been on a family vacation for 5 years. Even though we don't have the money to go we figured well I figured that we need to just get away just as a family. Anyway is one day enough at Michigan's Adventure (water and amusment park in one). Are there any tips for this park? Thanks in advance for the info.

Hi,

My kids love it, the rides are perfect for them. They absolutely loved the water park. I absolutely loved the fact that it was all included in the one price and I didn't have to pay extra for water park. The water slides were so much fun.

The rides are more for younger kids, I am a rider so I prefer Cedar Point coasters. When I went it was not as crowded as Cedar Point usually is, the wait for the rides was not bad either (We went on a couple more than once). However, like the other mom said it's not much shade so bring sunscreen and check the weather.

We didn't want to drive back after (not to mention we live in Detroit) so we stayed overnight. I think you and the fam will have a great time!

you can do everything in one day but you won't want to drive home. It would be like going to cedar point. Make sure you check the weather status for muskegan mi because it is cold there all the time when we are 80 there 75 o 73. The water park I believe doesn't open the same time the amusement park does. If I remember it opens around 12 or something.. You guys wil have fun but may want to get a room for one night.

We took our kids a couple of years ago. They were 3 and 1 at the time. The park is not very large so you can do everything in about a day. Their were lots of things my 3 year old could do.
However, We did drive back in the same day because In my opinion their were not any good/nice hotels in the area.

Your kids are great ages for this park. We love Michigan Adventure. The rides are geared towards the younger kids so there are tons of rides for them. You can do it in one day however it will be a full day. My advice is to go to the water park first and get a locker to put your water stuff in. Those lockers go fast. The last time we went, we never even went to the water park because the kids were having so much fun with all the rides. Bring sunscreen and hats as there is not much shade and it can get very hot. If you have an extra day, go to Lake Michigan's Beaches right near there. THey are free and beautiful! Have a great time...
