I agree with Jessica F. Dolce & Gabana for men and women is just heavenly. It has a light yet refreshing smell.
What is your current favorite men's fragrance. My husband needs to get into 2010 and I am so indecisive. We both prefer something more subtle.
Thanks Mama's

Well, I'm allergic to perfume and cologne and find it offensive when I smell people as most put on so much that I have a migraine for the day and a scratchy throat. Also there are chemicals in the stuff and they're overpriced. There are some natural essential oils that are free from dye and chemicals and easy on the nose and system. Vetiver mixed with sandalwood is a really nice masculine smell. Vetiver is a bit pricey but much less than commercial cologne and less toxic for his lungs and insides. If you can go to Whole Foods or another shop that may have pure, clean essential oils and test them out. You can make an interesting mixture yourself with a carrier oil too. Avocado oil is a good carrier oil. You can buy some empty bottles and experiment.
Dolce & Gabana....my husband wears it and gets compliments on it from total strangers.
Lacoste- my husband loves it and it doesn't make me sneeze!
Michelle, I had this same issue last year with my oldest son. He wanted a to wear a fragrance but was having a hard time making a choice. I was visiting my local Sephora store and they have this great kit for men. When I bought it last x-mas it was $50.00 and it has 10 samples of different types of fragrances and a voucher for one of the full size bottles of one of the frangrances in the sample kit. It was great, he tested them for a few weeks decided which one he like and we took the voucher back and he receive a full size bottle of the one he like the best. (he picked GIO by Armani the cost on the bottle was $54.00) I thought it was a great deal! I hope that you have Sephora in your area I believe they are all around the country!
mmmm..... I love Hugo Boss!!!
Go to Neiman's.
Go to the counter for "Creed" fragrances.
These are great... and very very well made.
They have been making fragrances for royalty ever since... back then. Centuries. Based in France, currently.
They made one for Princess Di and even celebrities like Angelina Jolie, George Clooney etc.
Smells great... they make fragrances for women too. VERY high quality... very fine, and not a dime a dozen. Like fine wine. Seriously.
My friend who is a fragrance connoisseur, talks all about Creed and the history of it and the high-note sand low-notes... and how well made it is.
Here is a link about Creed:

Romance by Ralph Lauren
Word of advice: what smells good on one doesn't smell good on all. I know because back in my teenage days, my boyfriend word Drakkar all the time. I loved that smell, could bathe myself in it because it smelled so delightfully wonderful...on him. Fast forward several years and I got married (not to my teen boyfriend) and I bought Drakkar for my husband. I was so disappointed because is smelled awful on him. Sometimes it's best to get samples and see how it smells on his skin before making a purchase. Some of these fragrances are very expensive.
Romance or Eternity.. oh Sexy for Him by Victoria Secrets
Believe it or not but all the younger guys are wearing Old Spice. Yep, couldn't believe it when my daughters boyfriend wanted it for Christmas a few years ago and that is all he uses. My Grandpa used to use it. Also Bod is very popular. Curves for men. My husband has several different ones that he likes. I think there are like seven different ones sitting in our bathroom at this time. Every man is different. Go with something that you like the smell of and forget about everyone else.
Bleu de Chanel. I love this scent.
Angel for men by Thierry Mugler
my hubby was the same, I bought him Hugo Boss, its very nice but subtle. I preffered the dolce & gabana but he didnt like it.
Aqcua di Gio - Georgio Armani.
