If you are willing to drive to Keller, I know a gal that is really good! La Mia Massage & Wellness - Krissy Mays. Just google and get her number!
Hello Everyone,
I am a single mother looking to find either a massage therapist or a spa where I can go that can help me with my pshyatic (I am probably not spelling that right)nerve. I would like to try deep tissue massage first and see if that helps before going to a chiropractor. I am 6'2" and have back pain, but the pshyatic nerve is on my left side of my body and it shoots pain down into my left hip and all the way to my toes. I am in the beford area and would like to find a reputable massage therapist or spa. If you can help me with this.....it would be a Blessing.
Thank You and GOD BLESS,
D.

Without boring you will all the science behind it, I would HIGHLY reccomend both. Chiropratic targets the skeletal frame and how it affects your entire central nervous system and immune system. The trigger point massage will release bound-up musccle fibers that are affecting nerves and bloodflow, and will also release toxins so that they can exit through your lymph system. Doing one without the other is like only putting air in 2 of the 4 tires on your car!
I see you are in Bedford, so I don't have recommendations for that are, but I use Trinity Wellness Center in Highland Village (they accept insurance)--so worth the drive! Excellent, Christain-based doctors and staff.
I also use Diana Snider for massage, but she is all the way up in Allen.
Good luck! If you try Chiropracitc for Sciatiic pain, you WILL SEE an immediate improvement for your pinched nerve!
If you truly want help with your Sciatic Nerve troubles, you need to call Dr. Rodney Russell. He is AMAZING. Talk about a blessing. Please give him a try...you won't be sorry you did.
He has a small practice in Southlake on 1709. ###-###-####
Please try Kelly at Abundant Health and Wellness in Bedford ###-###-####). She is absolutely amazing and works wonders. If you decide to use her, please let her know that you were referred by T. Stewart.
Hi D.,
I used to work @ North Hills Bone & Joint located between Rufe Snow & Holiday Lane off Loop 820. They have a wonderful massage therapist named David there who could help you with your siactica nerve problem (yes you spelled it wrong...lol...but that's ok everyone does). If you go there give them my name it's Sheri K. as the referral source. Just let them know that you want to try the massage first to fix the problem and that if that doesn't work then you would be willing to try the chiropractic part of it. If you do have them set you up with Dr. Bill Enlow as he is the best. I wish you all the best and my God Bless you. Let me know how it turns out for you.
Hi D.,
You might try accupressure. I recently tried it for some back pain I was having. And it works amazingly. I simply went to google and put in accupressure and all kinds of sites came up. Some have instructions and charts on how to do it on yourself. I would really recommend that. That way, you're not spending money on a chiropractor.
D., have you ever had an MRI to validate that it is indeed your sciatic nerve? For a couple of years doctors thought I had an issue with my sciatic nerve, as I was complaining of many of the same things you are on the left side of my body. Then other symptoms started, for example, my toes started going numb. The MRI revealed that I actually had a bulging disk in my spine. I would fully check it out if you haven't already. Anyway, Marge Gore at Bodywerks (not, Bodyworks) was recommended to me from someone with a similar condition.
Hi D.,
I realize your in Bedford, but I have a massage therapist in Southlake (I live in Irving) she is off of Southlake dr. Her name is Linda Devine, her Business name is Renassance Massage (or muscle) Therapy, she does stay pretty booked, but you could give her a call ###-###-####, Tell her A. Hernandez referred you. I have not seen her in a while, due to my sporatic schedule, but she is REALLY good. Another option is Whole Foods (grocery store) in Arlington off of Collins, they have massage therapist usually 10am - 8 or 9pm(Katie, Mikki, Emmy, Elsie, etc.) there located near the bathrooms & food tables in the front west corner of the store, you just tell them about your issue & they will know exactly what to do. Good luck!
I think you should try calling Dr. Haggerton either C. or Jim Bob. They are a married couple who opened Lifetime Family Wellness in Hurst. They are wonderful and also have a full time message therapist in there office. The website is www.family-wellness.com and they are off Harwood. Best of luck!
Call Pamela Wooten she offices out of Bedford. Her number is ###-###-####.
PLEASE! consider Airrosti therapy! it is a form of deep muscle manipulation, I had wonderful results in only 3 sessions total (I consider myself cured) I used it for back and neck pain! www.airrosti.com, I saw Dr. Smith at Cornerstone in Keller area he was wonderful, call and talk to someone there to see if they can help you!!!! believe me you wont be disappointed! Worth the drive from anywhere in TX! my insurance covered it except for the $25 copay, unlike a massage which I have to pay full price for. and I've tried all sorts of Physical therapy in the past never with this kind of results! although the spa sounds great this will help you heal!!!
