Hey Cool Mom's! My Bff and I are Looking to Make a Pre-School Yearbook for the class this year. we have seen the ones on many sites like, snapfish, winkflash, and others. But they all seem to be about $29 or more. Have any of you used a service like this, and gotten good results, user friendly to make and More cost effective then that... Seems like a lot to ask for Im thinking.. thats why I asked!
If you have made one of these books.. DO You have Tips for us when making them? we are a Bit scared to make 30 of them! Right! LOL!

So What Happened?

OK!! WOW!! Its been 2 weeks, since you all gave me DOZENS of web sites to look at all the Hard Cover Photo Books that can be made out there for our little Pre-School year Book project! I can see why You say you get what you pay for also. They range from $12 to Over $50! WOW! So it also looks like Most of them have simply templates to follow too. Not make each page the color and style you want. it seems that you really can only chnge the arangements of photos to go with a particuliar theme. which should be ok really.
Im excited to make one just to test the Brand before we order 20+! LOL!
I think my first one is going to be made threw KODAK! I would LOVE to do the Herritage makers one, But WOW-zers! That was steep! So if you have More Suggestions, I read them ALL! And just Love to hear from You Other Cool Mom's!

I know you have a concern about the cost of the books, but the thing is, you get what you pay for...the cheaper the book, the cheaper the quality.
Although this might not be what you are looking for, I thought I'd at least mention it anyway, but Creative Memories has some very cute (& excellent quality) books like this. The 8x8 hardcover books are $44.95, but if you buy 10 or more you get 10% off, and shipping is only $2 a book. PLUS you get the personalized service of a Creative Memories consultant to help you out along the way.
Good luck, and like someone else said, PROOFREAD! :-)

Go to www.RetailMeNot.com and search "Shutterfly book" or "Snapfish book" to see if you can find a coupon code for money off either of those items. I have made hard and soft cover books at both sites and while I prefer Snapfish for most of my digital photo needs, Shutterfly has some great designs.
Good luck!

I like Shutterfly and yes it is still expensive - I only buy stuff from them when they have a deal (20% off & free shipping) they also have smaller books you can do which are a bit cheaper. If you do make the books my one piece of advise is proof read, proof read, proof read.

I hope you are able to do this, it sounds like a wonderful idea.

I have used mypublisher.com in the past and gotten excellent results - very professional looking and cool. Once I ordered something from there, they sent me a coupon code for 1/2 off more books, which would include books I previously made and saved on the site. If I were you, I would contact them, tell them how many you would order and I am willing to bet that they would give you a discount on the rest to get your business. Have fun with this! L. W

I have used Shutterfly and have been very happy with the books. It is expensive, but as someone else said, I try and wait for when they have deals. They offer different things to different users (I've noticed this, since I have several accounts with them). On one of my accounts, I just got a free 8x8 photobook offer, with 20% off any copies. But just on one account, not the others! You might want to sign-up some new accounts, and see if you get any coupon offers. You could also call them and see if they are willing to give you any discounts.

My biggest tip is it takes MUCH longer then you think it will to do a photobook on-line. Hours, and hours, and hours. Make sure you give yourself enough time. Also, check every photo for red-eye and exact placement before you order it.

I concur that you get what you pay for. I made books on snapfish and the quality is fine but not great. I switched to Hertiage Makers, which is a bit more expensive but the highest quality books. Plus you get discount on multiple orders of the same book.

My Publisher is great too.

Really you do get what you pay for.

Good Luck.

Hey there,

I made a book for one of my BFF for Christmas. I used the Walmart website. It was $17.00. It turned out great, and it was very easy to use. The price does go up the more pages you do. But I think the one I did was standard 20 pages for that price. Good Luck with it.
