Hi, from what I've seen posted it seems everyone is looking for the same thing, a babysitter. For me I would love to have someone so my husband and I might see a movie more than once a year on Thanksgiving when my parents come into town. I'm sure alot of you feel the same way. So here is what I was thinking. We could start a Babysitting Club. I know some of us work and some of us don't so here's the plan. We can all plan on meeting somewhere (maybe the play area at the mall at first, until we feel safe with eachother) and put something together. Instead of paying for our time needed we could trade hours. For example if I needed to go to the doctor for 2 hours and someone watched my child then I would owe the group 2 hours. It doesn't have to be the same person just the group. Don't worry I'll keep track so we don't have someone only using hours and not giving back. What do you guys think? We can work it out.
I think this is a great idea. I have recently moved to the area as well, and my husband and I do not get out too much as well. I would be willing to work on something. I do work full time but am willing to help at night or on weekends.
I think the babysitting club sounds great. Both hubby and I work so weekends are what we have available. We have 1 daughter, Sophia, age 2, and one on the way. But we are always looking for a weekend hook-up with some children for Sophia to play with. So let us know when the meeting is - at the very least, we would love to meet others with kids the same age.
Hi! My name is N. and I live in the Geist area with my hubby and two children (Jack-6, Kiran-4). I think a baby-sitting club sounds great. I would be very interested in meeting, not only to be able to run errands childless, but for playdates. We moved to Indy in July from Richmond, Indiana. When I have been in a pinch, I have been using the drop-in day cares that they have around. They can get quite pricey, but they have really helped. If you are in need of a couple hours of freedom until the babysitting club starts, there is one in Fishers called The Ultimate Kid Zone. It is nice, clean and the people are very friendly. I think it is about 8 dollars for one child and 6 for each additional. Just let me know if you get this babysitting club up and running.

I live on the East side of Indy and am a SAHM for a 3 year old boy and am due in August with number 2.
