Has anyone used this OB/GYN or know anything about him: Dr. David Owens? He is in Lewisville and another doctor referred him. I need a high risk OB given a recent pulmonary embolism. Thanks!
I didn't see him as my primary OB, but he was the on call doctor for my OB when I went in to labor. At the hospital was the first and only time I had met him, but he was a very good doctor. His bedside manner was great and he was very reassuring and made me feel comfortable. I hope this helps a little, I am sorry I don't have more to offer.
I LOVE Dr. Owens! He was referred to me from a friend that had used him for her two children. He is wonderful and he staff is amazing. I had my little one with him almost a year ago. I just moved far south but I will still be going to Lewisville to see him!

Dr. Owens was/is my OB/GYN. I can't say enough good things about him. My pregnancy was high risk; advanced maternal age, twins, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, etc. and he and his staff couldn't have been more sensitive and attentive.
The girls in the office were incredibly supportive and attentive as well!
His recall for details is/was impressive and the fact that he never rushed me made my whole pregnancy so much nicer.
I am sure I bypassed alot of stress just going to him. I hope you like him as much as I did. My husband loved him too by the way. I think he is the best doctor I have ever gone to. Good luck!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I would recommend another doctor in that area. I go to Dr. Guy VanDell in Parker Square in Flower Mound. He is a high risk doctor and I am seeing him specifically for that and he also is a infertility specialist. I do know Dr. Owens but I do have some reservations about him. Medical Center of Lewisville has a great womens and childrens service and would recommend using a doctor to deliever there. They have a wonderful NICU in case there are complications with your newborn. The facility is nice and has a good reputation.
I saw Dr. Owens for several years for gyn stuff. He's a wonderful doctor that helped me through several abnormal screenings. His staff is also great. I think you'll be very pleased with his care. I changed doctors only because of insurance & distance.
