Hi Mamas!

I thought I wanted the Sit-N-Stand Stroller, but when I read the reviews lots of people are saying it's difficutl to steer and a rough ride. Can you tell me what your favorite double stroller is and why?

I'm looking for ease of steering, smooth ride, both seats recline and affordable.

thank you in advance!

What can I do next?

Hello,

I just got the Joovy Sit and Stand Stroller from www.strollerdepot.com because they didnt have the new model at babies r us. Its called the 2010 Joovy Caboose Ultralight, the 2010 has a few new features. I have been looking for a double stroller for a long time and I just didnt know which one to get. We finally decided on this one and I love it! It strolls good, easy to close and very light for a double stroller. I am so glad we got this one instead of a side by side.

Here is the link http://www.strollerdepot.com/items/joovy-caboose-ultralight/

Hopes its okay to post links in here...This web site has a lot more colors than any other store so we ordered it online. Same price.

We tried the sit and stand plus by baby trend and I hated it, very hard to steer and turn. Got rid of it and got a Joovy sit and stand which was sustainably easier to move around. Not sure how old your oldest is but my almost three year old took full advantage of not being strapped into the Joovy and would often free herself of the stroller. We also got a Maclaren and it is the best stroller ever, light weight, small, and so easy to push. Bought it off ebay for a great deal. Got the Joovy off Craig’s List for a great deal too.

I'd really recommend going to a store and trying them out. We were so close to purchasing 1 and then tried them with our older child (was expecting #2 at the time) and changed our opinion.

We went with the Graco DuoGlide. It was the best for the money in our opinion for our needs. It has a few draw backs - not being able to recline one of the seats, needing 2 hands to steer when both kids are in, but it also has been a lifesaver when traveling because it's a little lighter than others.

Our son was 21 months when his sister was born, and he wanted nothing to do with a Sit-n-Stand model which is why we went with a front/back model instead.

Having several at Babies R Us to try, we put him in it and tried to navigate around the store between clothing racks, aisles, etc. That was the best for our price point - $200.

Now that they're 2 and 3.5 years, we only use that if we are going somewhere like the zoo where they're both likely to tire quickly.

Good luck with your decision.

I LOVE my combi side by side. It trifolds so it doesn't take up much space, it's light weight, can open with one hand and will fit through a normal doorway. It also reclines and has ample head supprt for an infant. I found mine on ebay, new in the box, for $75 less then in the store.

The Double BOB!!!!! This has been the most fabulous stroller! I'm still in love with mine after two years. It goes to malls, the beach, walking, jogging, the park -you name it!

I have some friends with the sit and stand, and none of them have been really happy with it.

You can find double Bob's (Bob Duallie) on Craigslist. New ones can be purchased through REI or REI.com.
