When you're done with a professional, can I get some practice?! I may start a business someday, but I'd like to be more confident in my abilities before I start, and that takes practice. I get experience and you get pics for free, (or if you feel it's worth a "tip", I won't object!). I do not have an official business going at this time.
I also don't have fancy props and such either, a) no money for such things and b) no place to put them! I'm a military spouse and have to move around a fair amount. (I'm about to go back into the reserves myself.)
I have been checking out my "competition", and here are a few other sites you might check out.
http://www.susanbraswellphotography.com/index.html, she's in Virginia, but if you like her stuff it would be worth the trek...
http://www.heatherbowes.com/, she's just over in Annapolis, but she's kinda pricey last time I checked. But she's also good!

If you pay a bit, make sure you like their work, and I'd say don't go with anyone who will only give you half and hour or less.
Good luck! S. Kav
