Hey Mamas!
I am looking to change my health and beauty products to be " ORGANIC " AND "Certified TOXIC FREE" and was wanting to know: what namebrand you are using,
how well you like it and
where you buy it.
I am NOT looking for just " organic " products ---- they MUST carry the "CERTIFIED TOXIC FREE" LABEL, too !!
Please help me.
THANKS!

For body lotion, we use coconut oil. Just pure virgin coconut oil - the kind you can also cook with. It really has been amazing for our skin. No fragrances, additives, preservatives, petroleum byproducts, etc. Very natural and smells great.
Oh, and you can get it organic too.
I have about six different shampoos in my bathroom that are organic without any toxic ingredients in them. Not a single one says certified toxic free.
However, I am the one with lifelong sensitive skin. I am using Peter Lamas without the slightest reaction. I am also using Giovanni and Thursday's Plantation. All are organic shampoos, conditioners and so on.
I use many other products that are organic. I use nothing toxic and have eaten organic food since you had to make it from scratch yourself. Nothing was prepared or frozen.
I buy everything at the organic grocery. I do not shop at crossover stores as they will carry GMO foods and non-organic products as well as organic ones. Go on line to find a real organic market.
Find out what it is you are allergic to in each soap, shampoo etc. If you are sensitive to perfumes you will want everything you use to be unscented.
I don't see much in Lima aside from one vitamin shop but Bowling Green has a good organic store
Have you looked into Melaleuca? I just became a preferred customer- I know their products are safer and healthier, but not sure if they're technically classified organic or toxic free... http://www.melaleuca.info
Faccia Bella is what a friend of mine uses. It is organic and toxin free

If you really want total control over what is in your shampoo and lotions - you can make your own.

You can also make your own soap.
Many people enjoy soap making (although the proper balance of oils/fat and lye is a bit more than I want to get into right now, I might give it a try some day) and are selling their products at farmers markets and other places.
