Looking for Ideas for a Birthday Party in Grapevine Area for a 3 Year Old

Hi Ladies....
I'm looking for a fun place to have a birthday party for my daughter who will be turning 3 in May. I'd like to stay around the Grapevine area. It would probably be for about 15 kiddos, both boys and girls. I'll be about 36-37 weeks pregnant with Baby#2 so low maintenance on my part would be great and of course I'm budget sensitive but might be willing to pay more depending on the event. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated!

I am also planning a party for a 3 year old… but mine is a son. He is really into Thomas right now and we are looking into the Choo Choo Station at Grapevine Mills
http://choochoostation.com/(S(kder5i55iznznu55fspe5w55))/...

It seemed like a LOT less money that the party options that they have for the Grapevine Vintage Railroad (but also very cool)

Good Luck, you have received a BUNCH of great ideas :-)

I second the recomendation for Paradise Pond. I had my son's party there and they were very helpful. We just picked up some pizza, brought a cake plus all the supplies they recommend (most I got at the dollar store). Very easy.

I don't know about you, but at this age my daughter loves to jump (on everything possible). A Pump It Up party is a great outlet for this phase and it's very low maintenance. It's located on Mustang Drive, behind the Cinemark theatre. You can do a weekday party for 15 kids or less for $169 (90 minute party. You bring your own cake, dry snacks and drinks). You get an hour or jump time and 30 minutes in the party room with a party hostess to help set up, serve and clean up. They even take all the gifts and extra cake, etc. to your car for you. If you want to do a weekend party, it's $219 for the same 15 kids (2 hour party (80 jump/40 party room) or $259 for 26 kids (2 hour party). You can add pizza or ice cream for an extra charge, but you can schedule your party at a non-food time and avoid that extra expense. Good luck!

My friend jsut had her daughter's 3rd b-day party at The Teddy Bear Factory in downtown Grapevine, off Main St just past the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. It was a great location, very cute shop, simular to a Build-A-Bear kind of place. I believe they offer different party packages but the one she chose was aprox $18.00 per child. All in all, totally worth it, you basically rent out the shop for 2 hours and each kid makes a special friend to take home, they also allowed time for cake and gifts to be opened. I would recommend for a low maintenance party for sure!
Good luck.

We had my son's third birthday at Paradise Pond, and it was great! We split the party with a friend who was also turning three, and we had about 30 kids there - there was plenty to keep them all occupied - dress up, a bounce house, a climbing structure/slide, basketball, a pretend grocery store - it was great! If you're looking for something in a lower price range, you might check the Church at the Cross in Grapevine. They have Kidztown Treehouse (http://www.thechurchatthecross.com/Treehousepage.cfm), and for $75 you get the indoor play structure for 2 hours, and a hostess to help with setup and cleanup. The kids played for over an hour without getting bored, then it was time for cake and presents. There was a lot of room for the adults to sit and visit, which is something Paradise Pond doesn't have!

Since it's for girls and boys, you may want to consider Pump It Up. It's behind Cinemark in Grapevine. I can't remember how much it costs, but it's comparable to all the other parties and it's VERY low maintenance on your part. The kids play on inflatables and then they go in a party room and eat and open gifts. I hope this is helpful!

Sno to Go is COOL!
You have to check out Let's Pretend in Grapevine

I love JUMP!ZONE in Southlake in 280 Sports (behind QT on 1709/Commerce)

SPICAR's martial arts by Kroger in Southlake is awesome for karate (yes, even for girls!) and they have parties

MONKEY BUSINESS in Bedford is awesome too, very affordable and I just saw a coupon in North Texas Kids magazine - that they offer free cake or ice cream with any party plus a free tshirt for the birthday child!

Hey K.!

Sno-To-Go comes to you and brings a Sno-Man Mania party, complete with sno-men (and sno-girls!), a sno-ball fight plus a shaved ice treat! Spring is a great time, as it isnt too cold or too hot and the kids really enjoy the activities.

We are super affordabe, parties start at $75 for 10 kids for the party mentioned above. I take over and host the party during my time there, which is about an hour (depending on how many guests there are). That just leaves you with cake and presents!

We even offer an "extra helper" add on package, which a lot of expecting moms enjoy. For $20 an hour we can come before and or stay after to help with set-up and/or clean-up.

I have done quite a few MamaSource parties this winter and all the families have really enjoyed them. www.CandiSno.com

Good luck with whatever you decide and I hope she has a great birthday!

PS: Sign up for coupon mail for extra savings! I email out coupons at least once a month.

For my daughters 3 yr we had it at ASI gymnastics in Keller. The kids had a lot of fun. All you have to do is show up with your cake and decorations. They unload your car and set up for you.

I second Paradise Pond. They have playtimes so you can check it out. Check the website for times and prices. I'm a teacher, so I haven't been in a few months! It was Thurs/Friday 9-11AM for $1 a person. So worth it!

Make your reservation early - it books fast.

K.,
My daughter just turned 3 last Jan. 18th. We actually held it at the Rainforest Cafe at Grapevine Mills. it's $13.95 perchild. That's with an entre from the Kids menu, hat, balloons (choice of color you want), drink, and a souvenier plate from Rainforest. We had 10 kids. We there on a Sun. It's loud so beware. I actually took my daughter to see if she like it first before I booked it. It was great, I didn't have to clean up any mess!! We brought our own cake.

I think Let's Pretend Tea parties is great but would probably be better for an older child.. about 5 or 6.

My church, First Baptist Grapevine has an indoor playground area... called Paradise Pond.
It cost $150.00 for one room and the kids can play in all types of centers and there are coordinators there to help as well.

My girlfriend.. only had one party room and just took turns and let the kids eat first and do cake and then had the adults eat second.. so that she didn't have to pay the extra 50.00

http://www.fbcgrapevine.com/templates/System/details.asp?...=

If that link doesn't work go to www.fbcgrapevine.com and click on ministries preschool and paradise pond link.

There is also Main Event which she might be too little for as well..

You could also take them to the Gpv Mills mall and do Glow in the Dark Putt Putt

or go to the Teddy Bear Factory downtown grapevine.. they do a great job.

Hope this helps!

K., when my kids were little, I would do things at a slow time of day at a popular place. By doing this, there are plenty of tables available, without having to rent the party room. I would bring the cake, napkins, etc...
You can buy a lot of tolkeins and distribute them evenly. I have done this at places like Chuck e Cheeses and Putt-Putt. Putt-Putt may have lower prices for younger kids when accompanied by an adult, if the the weather permits golfing. As a back up or in addition to you can let the kids use tolkiens at the games inside Putt-Putt. Another idea for little girls is a Tea Party. You would serve your beverage of choice in little tea cups along with little snacks. The girls would come to your house, mom's house, sister-in-laws house or sister's house, mother-in-laws house or a friends house. They would be dressed in dresses ready to be little ladies and you or someone would apply make-up to the girls using a new q-tip on each child to prevent the spreading of germs. Of course the minimal make-up use would be done with the moms permission. This is a good time to reinforce table manners, keeping it fun of course. While the children are eating you could read a short story about a tea party. If you have a clean garage and you want to keep food off your floor in the house you can do a theme party in the garage. Enjoy, they are only little once. J. Wright
