Looking for Feedback for Framingham vs Natick Schools

My husband and I are looking to buy a house in the Natick area. We've noticed that houses in Framingham are much more reasonably priced. I don't know much about the school systems for either town and I'm just looking for some feedback as to which town would be better (in terms of education).

What can I do next?

If you need a Realtor I would be happy to help you in either community. Historically, the Natick schools have a better reputation than the Framingham ones. My code of ethics does not allow me to expound on the possible reasons for that, but I can guide you to different areas where you can learn more. If you want to talk further please email me off line or call me at ###-###-####. Thanks,
E.

I grew up in Natick and can't say enough great things about the town and school system. I have to agree that the prices have sky rocketed over the years, but if you can afford it then it's worth your money to live there :-) Hope this helps!

Hi there!

We too were looking in both areas when moving from Texas (as well as other towns) and I can guarantee you, Natick schools are much better. We almost got a house in Fram because the cost was great and it was a brand new house, but after doing research on the schools, we changed our minds. From what I learned, you "pick" which school your child will attend and all the "well to do" people pick one school (or send them to private school) and the rest are minorities (not that that's a bad thing, diversity is great, but for whatever reason the grades/scoring are very bad). I used www.greatschools.net as a research tool. I found it spot on and is an excellent resource. It gives you a ranking from 1-10 based on scoring/grades and gives detail info on techer ratio, ethnicities, percentage of passing, etc. Not to say Framingham is bad, just, in my opinion, not as good educationally as Natick. Good luck!

Hi P.!
I was born and raised in Wellesley and Natick and lo.....ve Natick-it's such a great community to raise your family. The library is beautiful as well as the rest of the area.My friends and family are still in Natick and are very happy with the schools. As far as how the schools rate I believe that the mcas scores are up there for Natick. It has gotten very pricey to live in Natick-another option would be to look in Fram. it is a bigger town but as far as community goes it's similar to Natick only a little more diverse.I think you'll be happy with either one.Good Luck!
