You might want to check in with your city community center. I live in Edina and they have a place like that for city residents. Good luck!
I am looking for drop-in hourly childcare in St Paul or Minneapolis. Something urgent has come up next week and I need to find somewhere trustworthy where my 7 month old daughter can be looked after for a few hours. We have only used babysitters up until this point.

Hi H.,
My name is S. and I have 2 girls, Shaylie is 3-years-old and Kianna is 3-months. I also watch another 2 1/2 year old little girl part time.
I'm actually looking to watch more little ones on a drop in or part time basis. I do have to say that I am not liscensed yet, still looking into that. I love being able to stay home with my girls right now, so I am thinking about taking more in. The little girl I watch has been coming here since she was 3 months old, so her and Shaylie are just best friends!
A little about me: I'm almost 30-years-old, married, have a BA degree in communication. My husband works in corrections. We live in a big house near St. Clair and Lexington, if you are familiar with that area of St. Paul, nice neighborhood. :) The second floor is an apartment my brother actually built, and my mom lives up there. It's a great situation for all of us.
Anyway, if any of this sounds good or you'd like to talk more or even meet, please email me at ____@____.com I know it has to be soooo hard to just pick some random person or place to care for the most important person in your life.
Oh, I'm not currently cpr and first aid certified, but have gone through the training MANY times. I was certified twice when I worked in a group home and once when I worked at New Horizon daycare. And I'm always looking at materials being I have 2 little ones and my biggest fear is one of them choking. I'm sure you can relate.
Hope to chat with you soon!

St. Paul/Highland Park area has a program called KidsPark that is hourly drop in. I think they have a website you could google and find. I'm not sure of all the details of the program but it is run by parents so it seems trustworthy.
KidsPark is a great resource just for times like this! Your daughter would be in the infant room, which is open 9-12 Tues-Thurs. I hope that meets your needs. The co-op is parent run, but staffed with licensed teachers.
