We're baptising our son in a few weeks and I'm having trouble finding something for him to wear. I don't really want to put him in a white tux or one of those satin outfits. I'm looking for a simple pair of white slacks or shorts, and a white button-up shirt. I'm having trouble finding something nice for an 18 month old boy. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could look? Also wondering how others dressed your sons for baptism at this age?
I couldnt find and outfit either so I bought the short satin outfit. Only used the shorts and then I went and bought the kind of shirt that the pacific islanders or hispanics use it is called a "Gayabera". It was just a button up white shirt with a little and I mean a little decorations on the front. We found it in an indoor swapmeet but there is a store in the malls usually that sells them.. GOOD LUCK.
My son was 18 months old when we baptised him too. I found a very nice outfit at Nordstroms,in the children's section. It was about $100 but was just perfect! It was a little 1 piece short romper style outfit with a faux vest on the top. It was sweet, simple and comfortable for him. I was also able to purchase some nice shoes there as well. I can send you a picture if you want.
I bought my daughters gown there too, beautiful items available!! The last time I went there was 4 yrs ago-- so I am not sure what they may have now. But I would certainly check it out!!

We just had a double baptism and both boys wore outfits from the Rosalina line. Very cute, lightweight linen outfits and this website link to Grammies Attic also has some other very cute outfits that are out of the normal "tuxedo" style. Great website with cute clothes:
