Looking for Bridal Shower Party Favors Any Ideas?

mini bottles of booze... joking, sortof. I am pregnant and really want a martini. lol.... What are the colors, etc... that will help with the ideas. :)

Seeing as how it is usually just women (girls) that attend the shower why not purchase flip flops for each of the guests and put everyones name on them with the wedding date and such and you can make them match the theme of the wedding. Just give them out as gifts at the shower and then collect them all back and bring them to the wedding reception for all the ladies (they will appreciate not having to stand around and dance in their uncomfortable heals all evening) and they will have them to bring home at the end of the night.

Mine were candle holders with a candle and ribbon that was color theme of my wedding. It had our names and wedding date on it.

You really need to know first and foremost her colors. Then try to get what she likes out of her, does she like, angels, hawaii, jungle, italy, wine themes, amusement themes, princess, rock and roll and etc,, the list is endless. This will help us help you. You will need to do the color scheme with what she likes. example, she is using orange and browns and she likes zebra's then shoot for a jungle theme and so forth. My girlfriend just started her own business making customized decorated sugar cookies. She could personalize them with a theme or your daughter & future son-in-laws names. Possibilities are endless. The cookies taste WONDERFUL! And, her prices are VERY Reasonable. She lives in N.Aurora, just off I88 so it wouldn't be too much of a distance.

I think these would be really nice favors. You could also pair them with

We did decorative spoons with hershey kisses on them. Wrapped them in tule and put very pretty ribbons on them. Then we took tags and wrote " A Spoonfull of Kisses from the Future Mr. & Mrs." And on the back just wrote our first names and the date of the shower. Needless to say we didn't have any left over.

For my niece's shower I took several dove chocolates and wrapped them in tuille with a bow. Then attached a business size card - one side bride and grooms names the other side I printed the recipe for the dessert. Then laminated it before I tied it to the chocolate.

Do you have a theme? We did a tea party theme for a friend. You can buy mix-and-match cups and saucers at garage sales/flea markets. Put placecards in them, then use them for drinking tea, then the guests can take them home along with a tea ball.

frames and candles are nice, but so common, if it's a spring shower, wildflower (or any seed) packet with some wording about growing flower's and the growing love of you daughter and her fiance etc......smaller bottles of organic hand lotion for the ladies purses (practical), if it's a luncheon, beautiful tea cup/saucer with a few tea bag envelopes tucked inside wrapped in tulle, small or single bud vases at each place setting, each could contain a few flowers--makes for a beautiful table setting and each person takes home a vase with flowers.

Costco just did a 'Costco Wedding" thing in their monthly magazine and one of the ideas in there was a bag of fruit with a tag on it. I thought it was very cute.

But again if you are doing something more formal that wouldn't work but if its a casual get together that may work.

So I guess we need more details! :)

one of my favorite bridal shower favors that I received was a picture frame. they had put the frames at each place setting with your name in it. it had a 2 fold purpose it was telling you where to sit but also a gift for you to take home. it wasn't a big fancy one but a smallish I think maybe 2x4 or 3x5 but I have it still and still love it.

What month is the shower?

If you could give some idea of when the shower is that would be helpful. Also her colors. However, I was at a shower once where they actually had a centerpiece that had a goldfish in a bowl on the bottom and flowers on top. The person with the sticker under their plate got to take home the arrangement and goldfish!
