Looking for a Support Group for Women with Husbands Dealing with Addictions

I have been married for 7 years and just recently my husband completely "snapped." His behavior did a complete 180 and he is acting like a single 21 year old, instead of a married 30-something with kids. He is dealing with several addictions all at the same time as well as depression. While I want to be a supportive wife and see him through this tough time, it is hard and sometimes I just don't know how to deal or what to do. I was wondering if anyone knew of any support groups out there for women dealing with this type of issue. I really would just like to be able to email some people or talk over the phone as I couldn't really escape to any meetings or group gatherings very easily. Anyone out there dealing with this too and can help? Hope so! :)

What can I do next?

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I can't imagine it's easy with three little ones. Do you belong to a church, your pastor maybe able to help. Also there is Stephen Ministries that runs through churches. You may not be able to go to meetings, but you could try AL-Anon for some references to hotlines. Go to the book store and do some research and find some books there. Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers.

((hugs))

I read your letter and my heart breaks for you. Do you have a good church that will support you and your husband? Have you found a good counselor? Is there someone at church who will be his mentor? Also, do you pray for your husband? You need to pray for what you want him to become. Pray scripture over him and, although it won't be overnight, watch God work in your lives.

Dear KD,

I am so sorry to hear of your situation. Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall has different support groups and counselors in you have time for this in the future. Otherwise, it would probably help to have a listening ear and some encouragement. You are welcome to call me.
