Hello Ladies! I donated 13 inches of my hair about 3 years ago, to Locks of Love, and I am wanting to do this again. At the time I had a salon that I regularly went to, but they have since closed down and I have not found another salon. Does anyone know of any salons that will cut your hair and donate it to Locks of love? I visited the Locks of Love website and they do not have a list of participating salons anymore. I live in Havertown and I really dont want to have to travel very far. Thanks so much!!

What can I do next?

Hey there B.,

Good for you! I donate every two years as well. Most places do it and your hair cut is free. This year I just went to Supercuts. I'm sure if you call around to the places near to you, you will find many!

Good luck to you!

I worked in a salon and basically. We would cut the hair off but would have the customers send it to locks of love.

The hair cuttery in Bond Shopping center does it. I did mine there a year and a half ago. They were so great about it. Good Luck.

Hello B.!! Thats fantastic of you to do! As far as I know, you can donate the hair yourself. My girlfriends' sister had 17 inches cut off 2 years ago, and she mailed it in herself, there was an address on the internet. I have not looked into it, to check up on how it can be done that way though. As far as I know all it cost was an envelope and regular postage. Hope this helps!!

I'm about ready to donate my hair as well. Will probably wait until after the holidays so that I can still wear my hair up for parties and New Year's Eve. (My kids are teens/adults so I get to do grown-up stuff again!)

I plan on sending the hair in myself.

This will probably be the last time I'll ever donate my hair. I'm 46 and the gray is starting to be noticeable enough that I'll probably start coloring it. As I understand it, LoL does not take color-treated hair. I guess I'm lucky to have gotten to 46 (well, I'll be 46 the day after Christmas!) without coloring my hair. This will be a first for me, too.
