Looking for a Really Great Daycare

Okay mamas, this is a really hard thing for me. I've stayed at home with my daughter since she was 4 months old, she is 2 1/2 now. I'm thinking of going to work part time, because I think it's something that I need to do to feel better. I've been stressed and depressed a lot and I think that maybe if I just went back to work part time, I might feel better. I am absolutely terrified beyond words at the thought of putting her in daycare. Does anyone know of a really great daycare in the Saginaw/Mid Cities area? I looked into Primrose and I know that they are expensive, but good. They wouldn't tell me pricing over the phone, does anyone know? Any advice/encouragement is appreciated. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I was a sahm to my two kiddos before having to go back to work after a divorce. I know this isn't in your exact area but Mam Maw's House on the west side of fort worth is a wonderful place to take your children. It is more of a school than a day care but the kids really love it and they have so much fun. My daughter recently graduated form kindergarten here and my son is in their preschool program and he loves it. He learns counting, reading, writing, spanish, manners, sign language and the price per week is absolutely wonderful....i think it is like $150 or less per week...(my son is 3 1/2 so am not exactly sure...the kids are fed organic food....and the director has her degree in child psychology and the other ownder is a homeopathic nutritionist....anyways the school is absolutely wonderful....it is really small and like a family...not a daycare....everyone matters here and they give your children the nurturing they need while still teaching them good manners and behaviors......anyways my son loves it and my daughter cried her eyes out when she found out she had to go to public school and would not get to be with her teachers any longer. Hope this helps and if you would like a phone number so you can call them, just message me and i will get one for you. Good luck with whatever you decide....I know how extremely difficult it is to find someone and someplace to take care of your children that you feel good about leaving them with.

I don't know of any daycares in your area but I just recently price checked a ton of daycares. For 3 days a week, you are looking at about $150/week (depending on the facility). Hope this helps. Good luck.

I would not go to Kids gone Corp. on Blue Mound Rd.My friends son WALKED to Blue Mound Rd w/o an adult around. She pulled up and she was the one who noticed her son was unattended on a busy street in front of the daycare.

When she asked the teacher why her son was sitting on the curb in front of the daycare (which is a long drive way) the teacher said she must of left the gate unlocked and he walked from the back of the daycare where the play ground is to the front of the daycare.

She pulled her son out that day. Also ANOTHER of my friends said her 3 yr old was put in a class full of babies because they didnt have a spot for her in the 3 yr old class.

She did not like that and pulled her out that same week. So with that said ....I would call the PD and ask about all the daycares in saginaw. check to see if any of them have had calls out there of reports filed on them.

Or you may try an in home daycare.

Good Luck to you!

A Children's Lighthouse just opened on Bailey Boswell and I've heard great things about them. I checked it out and thought it was great. They are going to be expensive, like most daycare. I think it is around $160 a week, but check on that. In home daycare will save you some money.

My dd is 2 and goes to Kids Gone Corporate on Blue Mound Rd. We pay 172 a week for all day/5 days a week, not sure what part time would be for you. They are very good. They have a ton of things for the kids to do, this month they started a dance class (extra cost of course), they also have the Tumble Bus that comes 2 times a month, they have a Music guy that comes in, and they had the Saginaw Library there this last week. The teachers are great; most of them have been there for at least 6 months or more. The directors have always addressed issues we had right away. We have only had one issue other than the normal toddler stuff, with a teacher and she is no longer there. My dd has been there just over a year and walks in like she owns the place. I would strongly suggest you look in to them. Also if you are closer to Haslet there is a daycare up there that is by the subway and post office (can’t remember their name), we did not attend there however they are owned by the same people as Kids Gone Corp. So I am sure they are just as good. I know how you feel about putting her in daycare, we moved from Blue Mound almost 6 months ago but I can't mover her, she is so happy there, and the trust I have with the staff can not be replaced. Also they are very good about asking for ID if they do not know the person picking up your child, the first time my parents picked up my dd they were asked for ID, I have also seen other people asked for ID.

Their phone number is ###-###-####; Courtney and Donna are the Directors.

Good Luck

I wish I could recommend my sitter to you, but she doesn't have any openings. With that said, I found her by going to the following website:

http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child...

You can search daycare centers and in home day cares on this site. It has all of their background info such as how long they've been in business and their latest inspections by the state and it there were any problems. Good luck!!
