We go to the Dollinger family farm in Channahan -- http://www.dollingerfarms.com/pumpkins.htm
It's the old fashioned kind that doesn't have a charge for you to be there, but they charge for the train, corn maze and for any pumpkins or whatever you buy. They have play houses, slides, bunnies to touch, haybales to climb on -- all those things are free. So, you could go for free. I would take the kids on the train, though (assuming they like trains). I think it was $2/person last year, but it might have been $3.

There is also Seigel's cottonwood farm on Weber road near Caton Farm Rd. They have an entrance fee of like $6/person but there are coupons on their website for a couple dollars off. They have a bunch of jumpy things and playground areas, a haunted house. Seigels has more stuff and would be better for older kids. I prefer Dollinger but my kids are pre-school age.

I LOVE Cottonwood Farms in Crest Hill. They have SO much for the kids to do. You can go to the Menards across the street for a b1g1 free coupon! $12 normally.

Kuipers family farm is just west of Kaneland High School in maple park. they have the pumpkin farm, corn maze and an apple orchard. you can do the u-pick thing, or just buy some.their store is really nice and they have some excellent apple cider donuts and apple cider. they have a petting zoo too! it is located on watson road(which intersects with Keslinger). There is also an apple orchard in Waterman, which is west of sugar grove. you head out on route 30 to waterman and follow the signs. they have pumpkins and I think a hayride. on the way to the waterman orchard, there is also waterman winery! by the way, there is also Ben's Giant pumpkins in sugar grove on jericho road, just west of route 47. I have no idea about the prices at any of these places, however.

L. we just went to Seigels Pumpkin Farm in Plainfield/Romeoville, I think their website in ourpumpkinfarm.com It is also usually advertisded on the news. Tbey have 5.5 mile cornmaze, a jumpy, a jumpy slide, petting zoo, and a real pumpkin patch where the pumkins are still on the vine. It is $12/person but you can go to there website and print a coupon for $4 off each person up to 6 people I think. It is the same place as Statesville Haunted House which by the way is very scary if you are looking for an ADULT Haunted House. Have fun.
There is also a pumpkin farm in Homer Glen I think--Bengston's Pumpkin Farm. They have pig races and little kids rides. The rides are not included in the admission fee.

We went to a little pumpkin patch in Montgomery last year and it didn't cost anything except for the price of the pumpkins we bought. They had a small hay ride and hay maze. It wasn't anything fancy but it was free. I think it was Anderson Farm on Montgomery Rd west of Douglas.
