Hello, I moved to the desert about 6 years ago and since then this dry weather has turned my feet into a dry cracked mess. I am looking for a cream or another product that really help soften and heal skin. Even maybe a scrub/lotion.

Thanks

I always put vaseline on my feet when I get out of the shower and put socks on immediately. Also at night time I put Eucerin on with a pair of socks.

ARBONNE!! Get Arbonne's RE9 body lotion set. It has 1 bottle called NutriminC RE9 Body Serum and one called NutriminC RE9 Hydrating Body Lotion. They are pricey from the company but you can get it for less than 1/2 price on ebay. It is amazing! Arbonne is one company that I actually understand why it is so expensive - because IT REALLY WORKS!! Use the body set on your feet every day after you shower and in about 2 weeks you will see a complete change in your skin! And btw - no, I don't sell it myself so that's not why I'm saying all this. I just realized it might sound like I'm trying to push my own product. lol I'm just a customer - I've been using their RE9 products for years and it is definitly the best I have found on the market! :) When I first found Arbonne, I was showed one of those before and after pictures of cracked heels and I thought, "yeah right". lol I figured it was just another gimmic to sell stuff and the photos were probably "touched up". However after using them I quickly realized those photos were completely real and accurate!

There is a fantastic cream called Amlactin, it is kept in the pharmacy but can be purchased without a prescription. I used it on a daily basis for a month or more when I had some really dry and cracked heels...now my daughter is using it and swears by it!! It is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Be sure and check the expiration date if buy some because the tube will last a LONG time and you don't want it to expire on you!!
There are also creams out there made specifically for Diabetics feet which are always very good. Look for "urea" as one of the ingredients, it will help to slough off the dry dead skin.

I remember laughing at all the lotions in the stores until I "dried out" living in the desert. Try soaking your feet and use a heavy cream on them at night even cold cream with socks. I make a body cream and use it on my whole body to keep it from looking like I was in a flour barrel. Coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil are good for your body and there are several formulas you can make to suit you. Lotion or cream in the morning and at night. Good luck to you. The other S.

There are some great lotions for feet in the foot care section at the drug stores. The one I love is Dr. Scholl's overnight foot lotion... it is awesome!

Try soaking in Epsom salt and then using oils instead of lotions

I can't stand socks on my feet. During the winter I soak my feet in an epsom salts, vinegar and warm water solution every few weeks then use a foot rasp to slough off the dead skin. I follow up every night with an unscented foot cream that's made to heal up heal cracks. Once it's warm enough to walk barefoot on the beach again the sand and seawater keep the skin on my my feet in great shape.

I have a couple of ideas. I had something wierd on my feet. They really hurt and were dry and sore. I soaked them in Aloe Juice. Aloe that you drink. It worked wonders. I also reccommend clear shield.
If you want some info let me know.

Hi M.,

Renew lotion will heal the problem not just mask it. It has been clinically tested to be 7 times more effective than Eucerin. I have had personal results myself as well as my 17 year old daughter and my 91 year old father. You won't be disappointed if you try it.

My girlfriend had this issue to the point where her heels would bleed from cracking. She saw a podiatrist (which I guess is a good place for you to start also) who advised to NEVER go barefoot and to use Eucerin lotion several times a day and wear cotton socks after applying to help lock in the moisture. He said if that didn't work, they would explore other options, but she never needed anything additional.

Good luck, I know it was literally such a pain for her to deal with.
