I'm wondering if any moms could recommend a preschool in St. Paul or nearby suburbs. My son goes to a church preschool program one day a week and I'm looking for something begining next fall that would be preferably 3 days. I know a lot of preschools (like Dodge Nature Center) have already stopped recieving applications for next fall, so if you know of any that are still taking applications that would help too. Thanks!

Again, depending on where you live in St. Paul, I would like to suggest Stepping Stones. There's three different locations, one at the Beaver Lake Education Center, Gladston Center off of White Bear Ave, and the last one is the DEC (District Education Center) which is right next to North High Scool. My kids have gone to all three, the teachers and assistants are all great, and I feel my kids did really well.

When my daughter was 3 she attended Promised Land preschool in East St. Paul. It was terrific! At the ntime, it was just 2 1/2 days, but I know the year she went to kindergarten they changed it to 3. We are already planning to send our son there when he is old enough.
It is run by Divinity Lutheran school.

It's in Merriam Park/Mac Groveland and I am so grateful that we found it for my 4-1/2 year old. He went to the 3-day morning program last year, is in the 5-day morning program this year. I have already registered my 7-month-old for the 3-day morning program (which he'll go to when he's 3.) The teachers are truly remarkable people, so connected to the kids, and tirelessly inventive with activities. It's a little scruffy - it's in a church basement (not church affiliated,) and it's a relatively small space - but it's still the most remarkable preschool I've ever spent time in. Check out the website. If your son is going to be 4 next fall, he could either go to the 5-morning 4/5 year old program, or the 3-afternoon (M/Tu/Th) program for 3-5 year olds. It's also among the more affordable preschool options in the area.

Good luck!

You didn't mention which part of St Paul you are looking for, but King of Kings in Roseville (36 & Dale) is accepting applications for preschool. They have 3 day programs. www.kingofkingsroseville.org or ###-###-####.
