T.,
I joined my playgroup through the Greater Nashua Mother's Club. If you join ($20/yr), they can place you with a play group. They are a little structured, and there are rules, but so far I've found people are mostly reasonable. Go to their website:
www.greaternashuamothersclub.com.

Good luck!

Hi, Your hospital (where you delivered) might offer a mother's group. I go the Elliot Hospital's mother's group and it's free! I have met great moms there. I know that St. Joe's in Nashua also offers a mother's group. It's not a playgroup but maybe you can make some connections with some of the other mom's who attend. Let me know if you need more info. Good Luck.

Hi T.,
The public library in nashua has a great, very well attended story time thursdays at 11am. My daughter loves it (8months). Also, there is mommy and me group though Southern New Hampshire Medical center that meets tuesdays at 9am (I think). Also someone mentioned the one that's $20/yr - I just joined but from what I hear it's great. Good luck, let me know if you need any more info.

Jewish Children and Family Services offer some new mom support groups in the area that are a good way to meet people. I'd also suggest going to www.meetup.com and seeing if there are any groups you are interested in joining (you can also start your own group).
