I love Dr. Lindgren at the IHC Memorial Clinic in SugarHouse. He is faboulous and always has time to answer all my questions and is Wonderful with my daughter. I highly recommend him.
I have been struggling to find a good doctor for my children. I have been to a couple different doctors who start out really good, and then I don't know what happens, but they just seem to be in a hurry and I don't get all my questions answered. We really don't go to the doctor for more than well child checkups, but I need to find someone who I feel cares about my children too. If anyone has recomendations for a good pediatrician I would very much appreciate it. I live in the sandy area but they don't have to be in sandy. Thank you all very much.
Thank you everyone for your recomendations. It helps me out a lot. Now I just need to check my insurance to see which ones are covered. Thank you all again!

I see you have already gotten a lot of responses, but I thought I'd put my two cents in. There are a few good recommendations from Wasatch Pediatrics/WillowCreek Pediatrics. My kids see (and LOVE) Dr. Kathy O'Mara at Wasatch off 72nd and Highland. My oldest has asthma and she has been the absolute best! I never feel rushed, she is very personable (she even talks to my kids about snowboarding; she's a skier), she covers everything physical and behavioral and I wouldn't trade her for the world!
I love our pediatrician--I wish I could see him for my medical needs!
I don't feel rushed when we see him and if I think of questions I can call and talk to him or a nurse.

write/type up your questions before your appointment. When my doc sees me with a list of questions, I get his full attention until I tell him he's answered all my questions. Also you can ask the nurse for handouts.
My ped is great - he's been a fellow up at primary children's medical center. He works at Family's First Pediatrics. Dallen Ormond: ###-###-####
Well child care is done upstairs and sick visits are done downstairs. Dr Ormond knows all my kids and asks about the other kids when I take my babies in for their visit. He always answers all my questions and if I think of something else I want to ask him after he's gone, the nurse brings him back or he calls me -- usually while I'm still in the parking lot. He also is concerned about my health and always sorta assesses me to make sure i'm not too stressed or not taking care of myself.
I switched to Dr Ormond when I had twin premiees. Before that my doc was also great: Dr Ryan C Jones ###-###-####. He has a more holistic attitude. I think you might like that. He's on redwood and 114th south. He's a family doctor and is still my personal doc.
We also see Dr. Shellie Ring at Willowcreek and she is AMAZING!!! I am not sure if she is accepting new patients, but if she is deifnitely give her a try:)
You've got a ton of responses so far, but I thought I'd throw in my son's pediatrician too. Her name is Kim Gehle and she's a part of Mountain View Pediatrics right next to Alta View Hospital. They're located in a great location. I like our doctor so much because my son was a preemie and she made it possible for us to get free RSV shots for him. She truly cared about being there and was very knowledgeable about everything. She always sticks around to talk to us and answer our questions and we never feel rushed at all. We've also seen some other doctors at the same place and it's all around been a great experience there. We actually went to see another doctor there because of an emergency and he correctly diagnosed that my son's illness wasn't due to an ear infection but that it was due to Roseola. I guess that is a common mistake for those who aren't used to dealing with young children, because we originally went to the InstaCare. They have a great after hours clinic as well to avoid the InstaCare problem we encountered. They're info is: 9720 S 1300 E # E100, Sandy, UT - ###-###-####
Good luck!
I would highly recommend Dr. Jessica Morgan at Wasatch Family Practice (1160 E. 3900 S., ###-###-####) She is our family doctor (me, my husband, and our 4 month old daughter) and she is wonderful with kids (and parents too!) What I actually like best about her is her willingness to sit and answer endless questions during appointments without ever seeming to be in a hurry. In between appointments I can call and get a response within an hour. It just seems like she genuinely cares. She's very helpful when it comes to navigating insurance, and she has a great "bedside manner."
All three of us are very, very happy with her.
wow, you have a lot of options already, but thought I'd tell ya about mine... Dr. Brogli (sounds like Brogle) is at the Cottonwood Hospital building in Murray. I absolutely love her and have never felt rushed in a well or sick exam. The only thing with her is that she's only there Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. But she's fanatastic! If you're interested, her # is ###-###-####. good luck. :)
We LOVE our pediatrician. He is is downtown Salt Lake at the Bryner Clinic, but is well worth the drive! His name is Wayne Cannon. He is gentle and is such a nice, caring doctor. He is very thorough. Good luck!!
I love love love my daughter's ped! He was actually mine when I was growing up! He's in Sandy right off 13th and 94th. Here's his info:

Good luck!!!
I am also going to recommend Dr. Peter Moskowitz. We aren't able to use him anymore due to an insurance change and it's been a struggle finding another like him. He is amazing and very personal with all his patients. My son felt very comfortable with all our visits ever since his birth.
Dr. Jim Ryan at Parkway Pediatrics is great. He always spends a lot of time with us even on our sick visits. He always takes time to answer questions and is great with Amelia.
I love my DD doctor. DR. Joe Jopling at Wasatch Pediatrics. He is GREAT. I have recommended him to my friends who love him as well. ###-###-####. They are off of 7200 South and Highland Drive. It is easy to get in and the office is open 7 days a week with a doctor on call 24 hours a day.
Paul Lei in Draper is AWESOME! He really knows kids and has helped us through some tough stuff. I would highly recommend him.

I love not only my pediatrician - but every physician in his practice - we've seen them all over the last 5 years. The clinic is very well run - almost no wait time & I've always been able to get in when we need to be seen. There are 5 doctors and 1 NP, all of whom are great. I've never felt that any one of them has been rushed - they are all willing to take time & answer all questions. The clinic is called Holladay Pediatrics. It's on 4500 S. at about 2000 E. If you would like to know more about the personalities of each doc to find a good fit for you, message me.
Hi S.,
I love Dr. Shelly Ring at Willowcreek pediatrics. We have been seeing her for 7+ years. She always spends a lot of time with us and will call to check up on things and also gives me advice over the phone so we don't have to go in for every little thing. Her office is very busy but we are like you and only really go in once a year for check ups so it isn't much of an issue. There are a few other Docs in the practice that are okay but I really like Dr. Ring.
Take care,
B.
We see Jed Vandenberghe in Holladay (45th S and about 20th E). He has his own private practice, so we don't have to bounce around to different docs like you would in a group (he does have a group back up though-Holladay Pediatrics), for his days off). We actually don't live near there at all anymore, so we drive a full hour to get to him and it is WELL worth it. He has always been available for anything we've needed, even coming to Primary Children's to cover one of our kids instead of just letting a hospital doc take over their care. I have never felt rushed or ignored at all, in office visits or phone calls with him. I also have two good friends who take their kids to him, who love him just as much, and have very different parenting styles than I do-I've been impressed that people with such different views on parenting and medical care have all been thoroughly impressed with one doctor!
Obviously I can't say enough good about him!
