Just moved to Kingston and I am realizing that maybe i should switch doctors from dickson city to here!?
can anyone recommend a good doctor locally.

I thought maybe it would be nice since he is healthy and coming out od toddlerhood that we find a family doctor that can see both myself and him. (i need a local doc too).

probably the only values i tend to stick to with medical treatment is .. no antibiotics unless absolutly necessary... i hate vaccines too.. but have been coerced by the school system (he is in daycare full time).... I like a doc who can suggest natuaral treatments befor considering every pharmaceutical out there (is there such a doc anywhere?hehe).

and suggustions would be great

thanks in advance,

Miss J.

Hello,

My children have been seeing Dr. Lisa Coriniti in Kingston, for about 9 years. She is located on the ave., in the Geisinger bldg. next to KFC. I have three daughters, I moved here in 1997, she came highly recomended then, I have had nothing but excellance from her.

Hi, J.. I'm T.. I'm a new mom, 30, of a 6 month old boy, Evan. I don't know any doctors in Kingston, but our doctor, Dr. Lisa Robertson is WONDERFUL. I've been seeing her for 6 years now. She's in Clarks Summitt, and even if I lived two hours away, I'd STILL keep seeing her. She's Evan's doctor, too. Since he was born. She won't prescribe anything you don't need. I was worried about vaccinations, too, but the way she explained it to me was.. "It's your decision, and I'll respect it, but the diseases that the vaccinations protect against are much worse than the vaccinations". Are you worried about autism? That's what I was worried about, but she explained to me that there used to be a lot of mercury in them, and that most likely was the problem. We chose to have them. Think about it. Her # is ###-###-####.

We see Dr. Rogan at Geisinger Lake Scranton, which isn't really much closer to you. ;) But I love him! He's got plenty of kids of his own, which makes a good ped even better IMO. He's a very gentle and caring man. We haven't actually had to see him for a sick visit yet (knock wood) but I have it on good authority that he is very natural/alternative minded. He is an internist and a ped, so he can see both. But he does tend to be very busy.

Are you sure you couldn't get an exemption? I know your DS has probably already had most of them. But it's my understanding that the same religious/philosophical exemption that one can use for regular school can also be used for daycare. Could at least avoid the boosters if you don't want them. I was surprised at how many bad reactions occur with them, and how most kids are already immune and don't "need" the boosters anyway. Scary that kids are actually more likely to be hurt by vaxes than by the diseases. :(

Hi J.. I live in South Wilkes-Barre which is just over the Market Street Bridge. Anyway, my son's pediatrician does like to give vaccines when warranted but prefers to not have to give medications with the exception of vitamins unless it is really needed. Dr. Samonte. She works in the Medical Arts building at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, formerly known as Mercy Hospital. She is very nice and would be willing to hear your concerns about medications and such. She only sees children, though.
