I have an 18 month old son, and he is my only child. For the first time, I am going back to work full time M-F, and I am now in the market for a child care center or provider in or around the Seminole, FL area. I am extremely picky and would like only the best care (as I'm sure ALL mom's agree with me) and I have sadly been discouraged by the conditions of some day cares around my area. I am open to both child care centers, and in home day cares. If anyone has experience with a certain child care provider or can think of one I could look into that would be so great! Hello I am in seminole also. I do have a very loving, clean and safe Home Day Care with nanny cams ( www.lilputs.com ). Unfortunately I do not have a spot for little one under 2 until January 2nd. But I can offer something else. I am on a online group of all licensed providers in pinellas county. What we do for each other is when we hear of someone looking for care and we can not help them, we can post their information and those with availablity in your area can contact you. I had the same problem. I tried several places and was so unhappy. I finally came across a Montessori school that is AWESOME!!! Your has to be two though :(. http://www.countrydaylargo.com/
Regardless of his age, call and make and appointment to go on a tour of the school. It will let you see your standard is out there and more of an idea of what to look for. After you visit, you will not want your son to go anywhere else. I guarantee it! Everyone says the same thing after they visit.
The only down fall of the school is the expense. It's killing us to send our kids to this school, however, I just bring myself to put them in another cruddy preschool!
The first thing after you leave is OMG! I want my child to go here....then it's how am I going to pay for this. I will do anything to have them go here.
