Oh please don't invest in this just yet. Yes, we live in a technology age and eventually all kids will need to learn the computer, but those hand held video games are so bad for developing brains. Most have warning signs that they may cause seizures. #1 We're teaching our children how to be entertained and they lose the ability for imaginative play which is so important at this age. Until about age 7 when children are learning to read, their left and right sides of the brain do not connect. It is not until they can skip while swinging their arms in opposite directions of legs that we can see when the brain synapses have learned to cross the bridge. #2 we are also teaching our children to be lazy.....hence the whole tv and obesity problem. Please do more research and try old-fashioned games for the brain. Like counting marbles, hand rhythm songs and building blocks. If we force the academic side of learning before their brain is ready, you develop a child with inabilities to handle their emotions and how they see their world as a whole.
