Try a Fels-Naptha laundry bar. You can find it in the laundry section for around a dollar. It looks like a bar of soap (well, it actually IS a bar of soap).

Wet the bar and rub it on the yellow stains, then throw it in the wash as normal.

Hope this works for you!

We are on well water too and cannot use bleach due to our filtering system. I have used, and had great luck with, Fels Naptha!

Fill your washer with water, add clothes, add 1/2 cup washing soda and 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide. Let soak for at least 30 mins or up to 9 hours. Then add detergent and run the wash cycle. They should be bright white.

Try Shout or another pre-treating product. Works for me.

Fels-Naphtha might work. It's pretty strong (read on the wrapper everything it can be used for. Can't hurt.

Make a paste with 1/4c baking soda, 1/4c peroxide, and 1/4c water and rub it on stains with a toothbrush, allow it to sit for 30 min then wash as normal.

I use a stain remover & bleach and that helps keep it at bay. However, eventually those old t-shirts just need to be turned into dusting rags and new bought!
