My family and I are looking into Massanutten, Great Wolf or Busch Gardens. Haven't picked one yet, but they all look good online.
Our original weekend plans have fallen through. We have a dog/house sitter booked so I'm looking for some other quick getaways in the MD, VA, or PA areas. Some ideas are Hershey Park or Kings Dominion, but we have done those. Any other fun things in those areas for a weekend trip?

Have you been to Luray Caverns? Very cool!
You can go to the City of Philly. Lots to do there including an aquarium and the Philly Duck Tour. How old are your kids. There is the Please Touch museum and the Crayola factory, too.
If you like outdoors stuff, the PA Grand Canyon, or in Virginia there is Natural Bridge. If you like water stuff, Deepcreek Lake in Maryland is nice.
How about DC? If you haven't been to the National Zoo or any of the Smithsonian museums, I'd highly recommend those. If you like history, Colonial Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown are an option. In MD -- the aquarium in Baltimore.
go to the poconos and swim in the lake, visit boulder field, hike some trails in hickory run there is a waterfall you can drive over...up there is knoebels amusement park which is fun too.

There is a lot you can do...!!! HAVE FUN!!!
What about DE? You could visit Lewes (beach, historic area and/or Cape May Lewes Ferry) or Rehoboth Beach (or others surrounding the areas). You could visit the beach and then also take the Ferry to Cape May and hit a few nice attractions in NJ (Historic Cool Stone Village, the Lighthouse, the FREE Cape May County Zoo and park). You can either get transportation from the Ferry and back or actually take your own car.
Hi, Mom:
Jamestown or Williamsburg or Richmond or Petersburg, VA.
Lancaster, PA is good too.
What about Historical Maryland
or Delaware.
Depends on how much time, travel, and money you
want to spend.
Good luck.

PA - Chadd's Ford area has battlefields and Longwood Gardens and stuff like that.
Have you done Williamsburg?
Virginia Zoo? http://www.virginiazoo.org/index.asp You could combine it with other stuff to do in that area. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g58026-Activities-...
or what about the beaches, or Chincoteague island?
What about Virginia Beach? It's definitely a drive, but it's doable. We went over spring break when it was COLD and still had a great time... but this time of year you could actually hit the beach for something other than flying a kite in a parka!
Fish off of the pier, ride the bike surrey up and down the boardwalk, go to the aquarium, there's lots to do.
