I agree about the Rio...very large rooms, great restaurants in the hotel..And the Mardi Gras parade they have daily is cool also!
So my sister called this morning about ideas for Vegas (she is going with two of her girlfriends and their husbands) and since I haven't been there in 15 years I thought I'd check you with all.
The women want Luxury, shopping and sun (pools maybe adult friendly as this will be the first time she is leaving her kids and doesn't need extra Mommy Guilt when she sees Moms playing in the pools with their kiddos).
The Men are simple Golf, private time with their wives, maybe some cards and more golf.
Just wondering what your favorite hotel is? What makes it special? Any that you would stay away from?
Thanks for the suggestions!

Aria in City Center. New clean, modern fun and sophistocated. Sounds like SO MUCH FUN. I'm jealous.
I've been to Vegas a few times and even got married there! I've never been in my room very long in Vegas to really enjoy it. My all time favorite hotel is Mandalay Bay. The last time I stayed was in 2007 and I loved everything about it. The pool is great, the entire hotel smells awesome (I know weird, but it reminded me of Mexico- sorry I can't elaborate more!). The staff is super nice and of course the rooms are fabulous! Hope that helps!
When are you going? If it's soon, nix the pool. It's the winter, they're closed. Temperature highs are in the 50's and low 60's.
We like Mandaly Bay TheHotel (get the suite), or Bellagio. It's high quality but doesn't break the bank.
My husband and I love the RIO. The rooms are large! It has a great pool and spa and a great poker room (of course, since it is home of the World Series). It is off the strip, but has a free shuttle between their sister casinos: Harrah's, Bally's, and Ceasars.
My husband and I go quite a bit. We always stay at the MGM Grand. We love the lazy river and the luxury of the Casino/hotel. The last time we went we got a great deal on the Signature at MGM (the resort towers, more Adult and no gaming at the towers), but we would not stay there again. The hotel rooms were suppar compaired to the main casino and there was no restaurant there, so we literally had to walk a mile just for breakfast.
MGM also has a privite shuttle that tkaes you to the High End outlet mall in Vegas. Its a great day trip for the ladies.
My hubby and I just started golfing, so I really have no advice for that aspect.
No matter what, you MUST see a show! Just one, too much planned leaves you feeling like you have no time, but pick a show and go. Cirque de Solei is our favorite. O was wonderful!!! For an adult show, try Zumanity, its sexy, adult, fun, but not porno crazy, just cabera style (not sure how to spell that).
I live here so I don't stay at the hotels but my friends who come to visit have enjoyed staying at the Wynn.
