Taste and see that the Lord, he is Good.
Have them bring their favorite Bible verse and why.
Chick food, you can buy frozen quiche at SAMs, try mini bagels, biscuits, fruit. Look at pintrest.com.
I am getting ready to host a ladies morning out/bruch at my house for a group of women from a church bible study. Wondering if anyone has fun decorating/table setting, game or get to know you ideas. Wanting to make it a special morning so any thoughtful ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Did you know that there is a bible trivial pursuit game? I wonder if the ladies would enjoy playing that. I know when my friends and I have game night, pop culture trivial pursuit is always a hit, and it gets everyone laughing.
Good game to play is called salad, don't know if it goes by something else anywhere else. In a bowl, put people, places, things... on a piece of paper. Have guests pull out a piece and describe what is written on the paper. It's kinda like charades but your are allowed to speak.
Example:
on paper: Queen Elizabeth
your outloud clues are: matriarch of England, white hair, celebrated jubilee, Lady Di's ex mother-in-law
keep giving clues until someone guesses.
Looking for ideas that inspire - this is my go to site. I simply love Pier1 and I love the thought and look of a tasting party.

Some favorite brunch foods can be prepared and served up in smaller sample sized. Things like french toast, waffles, omlettes, deviled eggs, fresh fruit, etc.
You could even use your own dishes but arranged like shown in ways you never thought of before. I love having a centerpiece that is eye catching and functional. Like a bowl of lemons and limes, or apples and oranges or pears and bananas.
Have fun with it. I also like serving up different mixed juices and adding gingerale or fresh fruit to make it festive. Try mixing orange juice with cranberry juice, or even yellow grapfruit juice with cranberry juice. Apple juice is amazing with gingerale. With the weather beginning to change hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks and a pinch of nutmeg is like an apple pie in a glass. Also hotchocolate with whip cream sprinkled with nutmeg is both adorable and yummy.
I hope this helps to get your creative juices going. I'm in party planning mode as I consider what kind of party I want to have in the very near future.
Do not think you should be doing gamesnnthesenare adult women right. They would probably enjoynjustnsitting back and chatting. Bagels,
Croissants, cream cheese, quiche, egg bake (google for recipe)' juice, coffee, danishes and you are good to go. Decorate in fall colors.
I personally love it when there is a craft to do. Nothing fancy and elaborate.
I used to be in MOPS and we always made a little craft at our meetings. I still use my flower pens and pens rolled in seed beads. The still remind me of the morning I spent with those ladies.
My favorite get to know you game is having each person tell one truth and one lie about themselves and others have to guess which is false and which is not.
GL!
Well I personally like to rotate around themes, sometimes I get a little nutty, so take my advice carefully! ;) Since it's fall maybe you could just have a fall theme or a pumpkin theme in both your cooking and decorating. Do lots of dishes with apples and pumpkins. In fact, I'm hosting a Pumpkin Palooza this Friday where everyone has to bring one sweet and one savory pumpkin dish so there are a lot of options out there! Anyway, I digress...apples can be used in quiche (I made a yummy sausage and apple quiche once) and muffins and desserts, etc. Pumpkin bread is good, little cheesecakes, etc. Pear is also a good fall fruit. You don't have to do fancy, just dips, small things, quiche can be hot or cold. Serve coffee, hot cider, tea, have some pumpkin spice flavored creamer, etc. You get the idea! It's also very easy and fun to decorate with this...small pumpkins and gourds, acorns, etc. Maybe you even have a red tablecloth or red (or orange, yellow, brown) placemats.
I don't know about a game or craft. It depends how much time you have and on your group dynamic. I like crafts but not everyone does and as an adult if I'm going to do a craft I want it to look really good and I usually want to spend quite a bit of time on it. So personally, I'd probably just do brunch, coffee, etc. People will be happy to relax and chit chat. Possibly though you could consider doing a little "take home" bag with some muffins and a copy of your recipe or something. They have so many cute shaped muffin pans out right now! I just bought a leaf/acorn shape one at Michael's last week.
