Hi Moms! I live in Grapevine and I need to get my 2 year daughter's hair cut. This will be her first one, so I'm looking for one that won't freak her out (too much). She hates having things on her head....headbands, bows, hats - will have nothing to do with it. I know that she is going to freak out when getting it cut, so I'm looking for something that will at least try to entertain her at the same time. What places do you love and that have been really good with your children's first hair cut?

Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I like Snip-its. I go to the one on 121 and Ohio, doesn't take me too long. I think they have one in Dallas too. You can check their website - don't remember exactly where. They keep my little one so distracted - bubbles, movies, colors, etc..and good haircut.

I just took my daughters (4 years and 21 months) to Sweet and Sassy at Southlake Towne Square this past weekend. LOVE their haircuts. Both did really well. I have taken my oldest to Cool Cuts for Kids twice before and just not had good results. She cried the whole time the first time--and the cut wasn't that great (the first time it was probably because she screamed the entire time--not their fault, but still cost $20, after tip). The second time she was better, but the cut still wasn't great. Sweet and sassy was better and cheaper!

Pigtails and Crewcuts in Southlake. They have a special "First Time Cut" package. They aren't as cheap as Cool Cuts for kids, but I feel like the quality is more consistent.

Good luck - don't forget your camera! :)
