We are looking for a restaurant other than Chunkie Cheese in Crystal Lake, but yet a restaurant that is like that were our son can run freely and make noise.

What can I do next?

Have you tried Wool Street in Cary? They have a kid zone on the 2nd floor.

Old country buffet..not the best food but cheap and kids can pick what they want, including a large salad bar, fruit, pizza, veggies, fries, dessert....

Other than Burger King and McDonalds, there aren't places where he can "run free". But, Village Squire is great as there are many things to look at, good kid menu choices and the food typically comes out quickly. Round the Clock has been a good place for our boys (3 and 18 mos.) too.
