Hey Rhonda. The Purple Cow is my 4 year old's favorite place to eat. They have a fun atmosphere (kids everywhere) and purple ice cream. Cant go wrong!
Our daughter is 18 months old, we are always wanting to go out to eat. What is your favorite place for kids?

The Purple Cow is a nice relaxed atmosphere for kids. It is like an the old soda fountain type places. Another kid friendly place is the new Kincaid's Hamburger place near Hulen Mall.
Fernandez Cafe on Vickery! Sooo laid back...great Mexican food. And if you like chicken and dumplings they serve them every other Thursday!
The Purple Cow is one of my girls' favorite. It's burger, fries, and ice cream. They do press pass discount if you subscribe to the Star Telegram. Oh, and they also have alcohol!
We like cotton patch. They have cool coloring books. Oh, and the food is good too! Ive been to lots of restaurants and cant really think of any that havent been kid friendly.
We love Panera Bread. Relaxed atmosphere and great food.
mimi's cafe they give your child a slice of orange and cheerios for free.
Souper Salad is where we went a lot when our kids were that age--kids are either free or very cheap.
We are pretty eclectic when it comes to food--try to steer clear of chains, but here is where our kids love to eat:
Central Market & across the street Bombay Grill for lunch buffet-Indian food.
Thai Tina's (new one just opened on Henderson just north of Downtown...not the greatest neighborhood, but you walk in the place and it's like you are transported to a great authentic Thai place & Tina was so on the ball, she overheard our kids complain that they were hungry and wanted steamed rice...she brought it right out so they were happy--other one is located on HWY 377 near Keller)-we walked in and it smelled so good...the food was excellent, fresh & beautiful.
Kincaids on Camp Bowie for Burgers.
Mellow Mushroom on Bluebonnet Circle for Pizza
Palermo's on Magnolia for Italian..nice for special occasions, but also comfortable enough for anytime..they have 2 areas so you could choose the more open area for the kiddoes or big groups.
La Familia on Foch street for Mexican--we have been going there for years--warning specials are usually super spicy & sometimes the Sour Cream Chicken enchiladas don't set well--but the fajitas rock. Tres Joses on White Settlement when La Familia is closed or too packed.
Qdoba on Camp Bowie or Downtown for Tacos & Burritos(like Chipoltle but better..did you know McDonald's owns Chipoltle!?!)
Brunch: Blue Mesa on University, La Madeliene & Lucille's on Camp Bowie
They are all family friendly--at least to my family--I am proud to admit, 95% of the time my kids to great eating out.
