The thing that made the membership with it for us is the indoor pool that we use year round. We go at least once a week.
Is anyone a member of the Keller Pointe? We live in Keller and my 3 year old son is dying to go to the water park there. It's quite expensive to go, though, and they don't offer "season passes" just for the water park for the summer. You can pay month-to-month for the summer and cancel it when summer is over, though. It's $56/month (plus a one-time $60 fee) for the family for the whole rec center. I am just wondering if it is worth it and how much you use it (with younger children) if you have a membership.
Thanks!

If you plan to go a LOT it would be worth it BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Hurst Aquatic Center on Mary Dr. (Near NE Mall). Yes, it's a little drive (I'm in Haslet and it takes me 20 minutes which I don't mind) and it's $4 a person (12 mo and up). It's soooo great for toddlers (so if your kids are older then 6 or so it may not be that well suited but for under 6 for sure it's the BEST imo). But I've been to LOTS of h2o parks (Bedford Splash is nice too but a little more - I think $6 and more for bigger kids and I have not tried the other Hurst one) in the area and this is the best imo for toddlers and younger kids and it's a lot less crowded (esp. if you go after dinner or bring dinner there to eat during the week it's very nice!). It's open from 12-8 and then 10-8 on sat and 1-6 or something on sun. I'm pretty sure you can get an NrH2O pass for about the same as the Pointe, they are just that expensive imo! Good luck deciding and have fun in the sun this summer!
We just signed up for our second year's membership, and we get a lot of use out of it. I agree that the indoor pool is a great draw- we're there several times a month in the winter when there's not as many opportunities to swim. I use the exercise class pass a good bit, too. The classes are high quality and there's a good variety. My kids don't mind Stay and Play, it's only $2 for 2 hours, and sometimes that's what gets me there to work out.
We aren't members either, but we use the facility regularly. My kids take swim lessons there and have since my 4yo was 9 months. They charge $5-$10 more for classes if you are a non-member. My kids have taken several classes there and we just pay the extra fee. In the past we just paid for a day pass to use the waterpark, which is $15 for a family day pass. I signed up for swim classes two weeks ago and asked what it cost to get to the pool and I was told the day pass was still $15 (but maybe I need to double check that information :) ), so I guess you'll just need to figure out how often you plan on going to the pool, more than 4 times a month and it's paid for.
