July 4Th Celebrations Good for Kids

An event that's really geared towards little ones in Winter Park the website has all the details of how they have the day planed out I've been there for other events and it's usually very well organized.
Olde Fashioned July 4th Celebration
The City of Winter Park and EMBARQ™ present the city's annual Olde Fashioned 4th of July Celebration, on Wednesday, July 4th, from 9:00am until 1:00pm, in Central Park.
I usually check on www.wftv.com/events for stuff like this. I have gone for the last two year to the festival at Central Winds Park which is much closer to Oviedo but at the moment I can not find info on the events there.

The last couple of years Waterford Lakes Towncenter which is near the intersection of Alafaya Trail & E Colonial Drive across the street from Home Depot & Circuit City has activities for children plus fireworks. Usually they have inflatable bounce houses and other activites for family either for July 3rd or 4th ~ I don't know which it is this year.

Oviedo is having fireworks for the 1st time in a while @the aquatic center @9;15pm on the 4th and winter springs also does on there is also one @lake eola but thats in orlando and very crowded hope that helps...L. massey

Welcome to the neighborhood! I live in Geneva, just 3 driveways out of Oviedo. City of Geneva is having a family fun day on the 4th with entertainment for kids. I have a 2 almost 3 year old and am also looking for somewhere to go. My husband and I have gone to the Sanford waterfront and they put on a nice display, but not sure that it's for young children.

I saw in another posting about Oviedo, maybe we will go there. If you are looking for "mom" things to do with your kids, let me know and I will hook you up with the Oviedo MOMS Club prez.
