This is about the Stephanie Plum series, for those who might be wondering. :)
So who do you think Stephanie should choose? Also, who would YOU choose?
I wish she'd just hurry up and marry Morelli (although I fully realize that would pretty much mean the end of the series). I've been re-reading the books (got numbers 18 & 19 for Christmas, already had all of the others) and REALLY want her just to decide already! Lol. I identify A LOT with this character and I'd go for Morelli, myself. What about you?

Sherry - I have NOT seen the movie. I wasn't going to pay money to see it in theaters... When I first heard they were considering making the movie (probably 2006 or 2007) I had in my mind that Sandra Bullock should be Stephanie and Betty White as Grandma Mazur... I didn't have anyone in particular in mind for Ranger or Morelli, but when I looked at pictures of the actors, I wasn't satisfied. I WILL say that I think they did pretty good with Vinnie (from what I could tell)! :)
Ranger - definitely!!
I've known couples that have that on-again off-again relationship Steph and Morelli have, it always ends in disaster. I had a friend whose parents married and divorced three times, completely screwed up the kids.
Besides how can you not love Batman.
if she's finally ready for married life, stability, etc....then Morelli.
if she's not wanting kids & is looking for a rollercoaster ride....then Ranger.
Who's hotter? Ranger & that aura of danger/looseness.
But Morelli just makes you smile.....Cupcake! Sense of humor + sex!
Soooo, a story: my Mom & I were coming back from a RoadTrip Weekend. Flying down the hwy on a late Sunday afternoon. I saw headlights coming up behind me....fast. So I moved over, & I swear to God it was Ranger! A convoy of all new, black, fast vehicles.....went flying past me. Not federal-issued plates....not military. I swear they were Ranger rides! I turned to my Mom & said, "OMG, that was Ranger!" & I was danged proud that she understood my reference. (sigh) Aaaah, what a memory.....& we still talk about it.
EDIT: about the movie....saw it with my Mom, my 15yo son & niece. The audience was a mix of Moms & Gmas, some families, & a few young women. Everybody was LOL thruout the entire movie. My son's fav part was the naked old man....& when my older son watched the dvd, he thought the old man was a riot! Thanks for bringing back a fun family memory!
Stephanie - Morelli. She's unstable so she demands his balance. He's just edgy enough to be her successful equal.
Me - Ranger. It's fun, it's loyalty to the nth degree and it's damn hot to boot.
I'm totally Morelli as well. I just finished the latest one recently and I kept thinking the same thing...can't you get married already!! I think he's adorable and I would totally want him. There is something to be said for a sexy, bad-boy for sure, but she and Morelli could have such a sweet life together! I find it ridiculous I have thought about this as much as I have, like they are real people or something, and am comforted to know someone else apparently has as well! ;)
And I'm not convinced it would be the end of the series either. I think it wouldn't be all that much different than it is now and I'm sure Janet could figure out a way to make it work! ;)
I'm going for marrying Morelli. I think she and Ranger would definitely be fun, but he wouldn't be the guy to marry. Stephanie and Morelli are great together, but I do see the attraction to Ranger. He's hot, sexy and mysterious. And sometimes that's more fun than the safe bet.
I am all about a hot, hard, sexy, latino. She should pick Ranger. When I read the books I often think Morelli sounds a little immature.
Ranger would rock her world. Plus, he always gives her amazing new cars!

I LOVE the mystery of Ranger and how he always takes care of Stephanie. *Yet could be kind of stalking. ;)
I think Morelli or "Joseph" is the safe bet with her family, but I'd be a little afraid of Grandma Morelli's evil eye, she doesn't like Stephanie.
Those some of my very favorite books too! I pick them up when I'm in between my serious reads. They're fun, funny and easy to read.
They just need to work it out where she can have both! I like her with Morelli, but when she is with Ranger.....hot!

Morelli for real life but Ranger for the fantasy that you have when you read a good romance book. Isn't that what we would all do?
Did you see the movie? I love Jason O'mara but was not at all what I pictured Joe Morelli to be. He was all hyper in the movie and I picture him more as a laidback go to work, come home kind of guy not a mel gibson on crack kind of guy lol
I'd have to agree with most on here. For a stable marriage type deal,she should pick Morelli, but boy oh boy, is Ranger the ultimate fantasy! Always wondering, could a woman ever tame him? lol
And I wish they would stop making movies! I'm an avid bookworm and though the movie was fun, Morelli was not at all what I expected. It's better left to your imagination I feel. I mean, I can see the characters,but not fully see them, I don't have someone from real life pictured in my head, I like that better. Not sure if that makes any sense. Plus I'm pretty poor so I'm waiting for the newest one to come in at the library(it's on hold)for me to read. I love all of Janet's Plum series, the in-betweens are great too!
Reeeeaaalllly don't think there is a bad choice here :) I'd take either! But if I were in her shoes and had the choice, I think I'd choose Joe...no, wait, Ranger...or Joe...or... I'm with Stephanie...I can't decide either. But do think she has to make a freaking choice soon!

She and Morelli are way too on-off for it to ever last.
Ranger is just waiting for her to finally decide. Not like "I'll wait for you forever", but more like "I know what you want and when you finally wise-up, call me."
And yes, BATMAN!!
I've only read books 1-7, but based on those, I'd go for Morelli. Ranger is too aloof for my tastes.
