I stay up way too late to get time with DH and go to bed around 11 p.m. When DD was a newborn I'd go to sleep with her at around 8: 30 p.m. Now that she's sleeping through the night (yay!), I still should go to bed earlier to keep up with her during th day! Looking for a ballpark bedtime for adults!! What's yours?
My kids are 7, 3 and 2. They usually are in bed and asleep by 9ish. earlier on school nights. My Husband and i will usually stay up till 11 if not later (especially lately...we just moved and are trying to get it all together!!!) I think the 11 pm is pretty typical for adults with younger kids...when else are we supposed to get it all done and have time for each other?!?!

Kids are 4 and 2. They are in bed by 8:00. I go to bed around 11:00 - 12:00....last night 1:00. The kids get up around 6:30 - 7:00.
Definitely not enough sleep. The kids and I are sitting on the couch watching Sesame Street and the snow fall. Trying to get the energy to get going for the day. Ugh. :)

Mine is anywhere from 9:30 to 10 o'clock. I don't sit down to relax in front of the tv until 9 pm, and usually dose off on the couch next to my husband and awake 30 minutes later and bring myself to bed :0)

My son goes to afternoon preschool. He is almost 4. He goes to bed around 9:30...sometimes a bit later. I go to bed around midnight and wake up at 8. We are all night owls in this house!

Normally it's 11, but baby number 5 isn't 3 weeks old yet, so right now I crash as soon as I can, or I let hubby go to bed early if I have things I need to get done for the other kids. Anything so that we both get at least 4 hours of sleep at some point, which with a newborn and 14 month old, 3 preteens, two full time school loads and him working, can be really hard. I'm the type that really needs a good 8 hours or I just don't function well, so I learned a long time ago to sleep whenever I get the chance.

Great question!
If I had my way, both my kids, would go to bed at 7:30 and I would go to bed between 10 and 11. In reality, my 4 year old goes to bed by 7:30 and my 22 month old 8:30-9. I usually end up falling asleep with him and waking up around 10 or 11. Then my husband and I hang out together in front of the tv until midnight - 1 o'clock. Its awful and we have very sleepy mornings, but its the only time we have to ourselves.

Never early enough! Even with two (soon to be three) under 5 and an 8 yo, I am in bed by 1030 but never asleep before 1am (thank you gamer husband who comes to bed at midnight and turns on the tv to fall asleep which keeps me up!). I'd love to smash that stupid television!

I have a 3 and a 4 year old (also, a 7 and 8 year old). Let me just start by saying this: ALL of my four kids started sleeping through the night (about 7 hours) before they were a month old, so... that has never dictated my own bed time... except when I had a newborn, I most certainly took one of the naps they took at the same time.
I go to sleep around 1AM and wake up around 7:40ish (if I'm lucky, I wake up at 8:15). My husband works late and comes home usually from 9-11pm sometimes, MUCH later (he doesn't leave for work until 2pm, however...), so we use the time after the kids go to sleep to hang out. My kids go to sleep around 8:30.

I stay up way later than that and am always tired as a result. My parents always went to bed around 11 or 11:30 when I was a kid (my mom still does than but my dad goes to be earlier these days). My in laws get up earlier and go to bed around 10 or 10:30. I used to babysit for a family who were up at 6:30 and in bed about 10 or so (they have been on that schedule for decades from when the kids were little to now).

my kids are 6 and 4, and I usually go to bed around 12am or 12:30am. Most of the time my husband is able to get up with them in the morning because he works later, but today I had to get up because he had an early shift today.

Before 10pm, usually around 9... if I even make it that long ;) I love sleep, sleeping's my FAVORITE, and I need at least 10 solid hours to not be a crazy dragon lady the next day ;)
My husband teases me to no end, but you know what? He's the one complaining in the morning, not me ;)

Good question - usually 11, but at least once a week I fall asleep putting one of the kids down, so I make up for it. I should go to bed by 10...I feel so much better the next day, but most days I NEED the extra 'me' time.

When my kids were that age, I went to bed around 10-10:30. I didn't stay home with the kids and wasn't worried about keeping up with them, I needed to be rested enough to get my job done at work. When my kids were each under five, they went to bed by 8pm. Of course, when the youngest was that age, the oldest was 4 years older but at 8 years old, she was still in bed at 8:30ish.

My boys (6 and 9) go to bed between 8:30 and 9. My daughter (13 months) goes to bed between 8 and 9. I go to bed between 11-12. It's the ONLY time I get to myself and I am NOT willing to give it up. My kids are up between 7 and 8 so I still get about 7 or 8 hours of sleep every night.

It varies. Usually around 9:30-10. The kids were going to bed at 8:30, but then I decided to drop my 2 year old's nap (yes, I know)....he was staying up to 10, and since I go to bed around 9:30, it wasn't working anymore....So, 2 year old goes to bed at 7:15 (and sleeps to 7:30).....Soon to be 4 year old goes to bed at 8.

My 3.5 yr old wakes me up every morning around 7:30 or 8am. He naps most days, but not every day. When he does nap, he's asleep by 9 or 9:30 and I'm in bed shortly thereafter (10:00, 10:30pm). When he doesn't nap, he'll be asleep by 7:30 or 8. I will often go to bed shortly thereafter strangely enough... sometimes at 9pm or 9:30.

My DD is 3 and I've always tried to go to bed between 10 and 11. My DD will typically sleep til 8 or 8:30 these days (I'm going to have to change that in the fall for preschool...)
Left completely to my own devices, I'm a 12 AM to 8AM person but that doesn't always work with kids, schedules, work, etc.

Mine are 2-1/2 and 7 months old. Since my baby still gets up at least twice at night, I try to be in bed around 9 each night, sleeping by 9:30. Before, when he was up more often, I pretty much went directly to sleep after getting him down, so 8:30-9. I can't remember the last time I made it up til 11! lol
