D.P.
I wear make up almost every day. Maybe 1 day out of two weeks if I am totally staying home & cleaning--I skip it.
Whe I was a teenager I started to wear makeup everyday because I thought I needed it to look pretty. Then it became more of a habit and a daily routine sort of thing for me as I got a bit older. Then somewhere down the line I just sort of started to not wear it as much. Everyday slowly became every second day then it was just once a week and then it somehow turned into just when I had somewhere fancy to go. But lately I have been getting that need to wear it daily to feel 'pretty' again. Not sure why but I just am not happy with my face anymore and always feel the need to dress it up. I dont think its an age thing that is making me feel this way. I am only 28 and I dont smoke (anymore :) so I seem to be good in the wrinkle dep. but I just dont like the plain jane me anymore. Do any of you Mommies feel this way too?

I wear make-up.
No foundation or anything. But eye shadow, eye lining, and a lip color stain.
But my Husband... after ALL these years, cannot even tell if I am wearing make-up or not.
Does not even know!
I'll tell him, "What do you think of this new eye shadow?" And he'll say "You're wearing eye shadow?" duh.
He can't even tell.
It's my warpaint. :) which is enough of a justification for me.
It also has my sunscreen in it. (hehehe... "valid" excuse to wear it)
I only wear makeup if I'm on stage or meeting royalty.
I don't even get DRESSED or shower every day... I probably wear makeup 4x per month at best ;)
I wear make-up just about every day. I have light eyelashes, so when I don't wear *at least* eyeliner and mascara, I look like I'm sick or have been crying. :/
Yes, I do feel this way! I feel like I avoid looking in the mirror most days. Something just feels "off." My hair? My face? I haven't worn makeup in years but am wondering if I should start.
yes I always wear foundation blush conceALER and lipgloss but more on weekend and special occasion. We all look so much better I hate when I see a women without any on feel like she doesnt care about herself all it takes is 5 minutes

I always feel better about myself in makeup so I wear it just about every day and I do my hair too. You never know who you will run into and I like to present myself well.
I don't get all done up every day, just enough to look nice.
Wear some makeup if it makes you feel better, there's nothing wrong with that.
I only wear make up when I'm going out somewhere. Doesn't matter where I'm going. LOL. If I'm at home then no.
yes-I never leave the house without it. The minimum I wear is mascara and lip and this is for a quick trip where I don't expect to be seen-even to the bus stop! I just look so much better with it...as do most people. Sadly, the older I get the more I need. For example-I never wore under eye concealer and now it is a must. I never look overdone though b/c I am pretty good at application and use mostly neutral shades.
I do have to say though-I really have always enjoyed makeup so its not really a hassle.
Yes, I wear makeup every day. I don't think anyone at work doesn't wear makeup. I wear it if I go to the store, an event at my kids' schools or anywhere in public. I usually wear makeup if it's a day off and I am home alone. I am 43, but I've worn makeup pretty much every day for my entire adult life (and as a teen also). Even my couple of years as a SAHM where I might not have gone anywhere but the school bus stop and preschool dropoff/pickup, I'd wear makeup. I don't see anything wrong with accentuating!
Yes I do! Even in running shoes, a little effort goes a long way! I look less tired (haha), even feel more awake. I feel better about myself when I look my best, and people respond to someone who looks like they really take care of themself! Not too much makeup for daytime but I don't ever want to look like I don't care what I look like! I also think it's important to show our kids that you need to take care of and value yourself too.
YES!
Since I had my baby I have been wearing less and less often. Lately, though, I have been wanting to dress nice and put on makeup. I don't think it is a bad thing- put on makeup when you want to! You deserve to feel pretty and be happy with how your face looks. I looked at myself in the mirror the other day and said the same thing haha. Maybe that is another way you recover from having a kid =)
I try to make an effort every day--with my hair, make-up, clothing--and to fight the urge to 'let myself go'. Sure it's easier to get up, pull the hair into a pony tail and wear dumpy sweats all day... But that's not how I want my husband to see me nor is that how I want to see myself in the mirror.
I don't think I ever went a day without makeup. It is just part of my daily routine and I like to look good for not only myself but my husband!
Since becomming a FT woking mom, I don't wear as much as I used to. I wear long wearing lipstick so I put it on once and it stays on all day. I spot cover with foundation and add a powder. Blush, a little subtle eye shadow and eyeliner (no mascara). That's it. It takes less than 5 minutes.
I think that if wearing make up helps you feel goo - then go for it. Sometimes getting made up makes you feel like you're ready to go and presentable. When I have no make up on, I feel like a slob. So I always at least put some powder on to even things out.
I wear makeup EVERY day. It makes me feel a million times better and reminds me that I'm more that just someone's mommy.
When I was a teen, my mom told me that I could wear makeup, but it's good for you to go without it one day a week for your skin to recover and revitalize. I loved that. From then on, I go one day (at least) without it..usually on the weekend or if I'm home during the day. I'm going to tell my future daughters the same thing.
All I wear is a moisturizer and mascara. Anything else breaks my skin out - even eye shadow makes my eye lids crack and bleed - it's really bad! I dont know why, but I just can't wear too much anymore. And I like to keep it simple. I don't like getting too done up. Sometimes I will deal with the consequences of getting done up and wear it all, but normally I don't. I do my hair every day though - luckily my hair falls great when I just blow dry it though too. I can get ready in 30 minutes easy :). If it took a lot longer than that, not sure I'd be able to do it!
I have days when I think I should slap on some make-up, but mainly as long as I have my eyebrows done, I'm good to go. I am not trying to impress anyone when I am not at work, so what's the point? The funny thing is, I sell Avon and have a ton of their products, but don't use them on a regular basis so I end up giving them away as gifts.
I don't know. In my teens and 20's I wouldn't dare leave the house w/o make-up. I'm 40 now and don't really care...unless it's a special event.
Does chapstick count? I wear make-up about 5x a year!
I wish I had the energy to put it on daily, but I dont. If Im leaving the house for any reason at all, some concealer for the under eye bags & mascara for blonde eyelashes & a bit of blush or bronzer b/c Im pretty fair skinned & need that to look healthy. I have tons of makeup though, especially eyeshadows... but generally stay in the pinky/ peach range of colors when I wear it, save for the occasional evening I break out some turquoise shadow & black liner. I like glosses & lipsticks, but never remember to re apply
I do not put on makeup unless we are leaving the house or someone is coming over. I do take a shower and do my hair everyday, usually at the kid's naptime. I do not wear a lot of makeup whe I do wear it. I put concealer under my eyes and on occasional blemishes, powder, eye shadow, and usually clear mascara. If we are "going out" I use eyeliner, real mascara, and lipstick.
I put it on to go to work everyday. Only as needed on the weekend. i.e. not to go to the Dollar Store, but definately to go out to dinner with my hunny.
I only wear make-up on days I work, or if I'm going out. Otherwise, none. I like the feeling of clean skin. I also work out almost every day and don't like the feeling of sweat and make-up...yuck...
I do but that doesnt bother me. In fact my hubby prefers me looking natural and no make up. I think I put on make up about 10x per year..if that but I do moisturize daily.
I only wear make up on nights out which is very rare lately lol
