I'm still searching for some friends for my daughter outside of the preschool that she currently attends; I'm at a disadvantage not being from this area, so I was hoping someone currently had a playgroup going in her age range? She is very outgoing and funny; loves playing pretend, being outside, and definately has a dramatic flair! She is a little over
three and a half - will be four the end of July...
We have a great playroom and fenced yard with playhouse, etc... would love to host
some Playdates!

I really got some good responses to my email! I was hoping to host a little playdate at my house after the Easter craze is over... if anyone is interested please contact me...We live in Mokena, not far off of LaGrange Road; fenced in yard, playhouse and playroom, & lots of kid videos! Hi I have a 4 year old who also needs another little girl to play with. We live in nearby Lockport. I have a 4 year old girl, 5 year old boy and 9 year old boy. So my daughter has always played with boys. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm not in that area, but my girls and I have been in a playgroup for more than 2 years that we absolutely LOVE!!! It's all over will county and then some and we have a lot of members in the New Lenox/Mokena area that I know of for sure. We'd love to have you and anyone else interested in our group :)

I am having the same problem. My son is 3.5 too. But I live in Worth. If you get something set up I would be up for the drive!
My daughter will be 4 in May and my son will be 3 in June. We are in Orland Park and would love to join a group too or even be part of a new one. I'll follow this post, but feel free to email me!

It seems to me that there is enough interest in the area that we should start a new playgroup. I live in Orland Park and have two daughters ages 2 and just turned 5. I have been looking for something like this since I moved to Orland two years ago. I am also 36 and work part-time. I would love to start a playgroup and would be happy to organize one with you if you are interested. Let me know!

I can feel for you. I have been looking for the same things for my 3.5 year old daughter (she'll be 4 the beginning of July.) She has a 'dominat' personality. Not to say she is mean or bossy...but she does tend to like things her way. Now this could be a product of her being an only child and not going to day care..or she could take after me.
I have tried signing her up for things, trying to make friends, but she just doesn't seem to do well in those environments. She does what she should, but is ready to leave about 1/2 way through. I just signed her up for bowling (her Father and I both bowl...so that might work) we shall see how this goes.

Hi... Unfortunately my twins are only 9 months but I do belong to a Moms Club that has a bunch of various playdates that might work out for you. You can go to www.momsclub.org and do find a chapter near you. If you are in search of New Lenox/Franfurt/Mokena than that would be the group I am in and the Pres is C. Blau. Please tell her I sent you :) It's a fun and great group and many kids around your age. Good luck to you! I wish your child was younger or mine were older to help you out more!
