Is There Such Thing as a Dual Transmitter Baby Monitor?

I realize there are plenty of models out there with dual RECEIVERS, but I'm looking for a baby monitor with dual TRANSMITTERS.

I'm expecting baby number 2 in a few months. I still need a monitor in my daughter's room as she is a restless sleeper and wakes often and needs help to use the bathroom. And I obviously will need one in my newborn's room.

I don't want to carry around two different receivers every time I put both kids to bed. Has anyone heard of (or better yet, purchased) a dual transmitter baby monitor?

I bought my monitoring system from Protective Parents Childproofing. I've got three cameras/transmitters that work on one receiver. It's wireless and allows me to switch between all three cameras so I can monitor all of my children. I love this product and highly recommend it.

J.,
I could be wrong, but I would imagine that you could purchase two sets of the same kind and you would have two transmitters that send from the same frequency. Currently I use Fisher-Price (inexpensive), and it has an A channel and a B channel. I bet that if you purchase two sets & had them both on the same channel, you'd be in luck!

I had the same issue - my first two are 15 months apart. I ended up buying a separate monitor so that each has it's own transmitter and receiver. It works perfectly. Both still have monitors in their rooms at 2 and 3 years old. I have my third on the way, so I've been looking into additional options, and I discovered one that has multiple (three I think!) transmitters. I cannot remember the name but will try to sift through my papers and see if I can get that information to you. But if you don't hear back from me, at least know that it's out there. It was a common brand, too, First Years or something l like that. Good luck with your shopping!

I just wound up buying another monitor identical to the one I already had. Since it has two channels on it, I just keep my older daughter's room monitor set on channel A and my younger one's set to channel B. Then I only have to carry one receiver around and can switch it between A or B to check on them. At nighttime I just have both receivers in my room, one on A and one on B. I know this sounds confusing but it's worked out pretty well.

I know that I have seen this at Babies R Us, but it is not available on Amazon.com so I am not sure if it's discontinued or not. There aren't any reviews on Amazon but if you do a search on the internet you should be able to come up with some.

Here's a link to the product by Safety 1st...

Call Toys R Us. I just visited someone who had a model like the one you describe. One child's monitor was on one frequency, and the other child's monitor was on the other frequency.

We havea two year old and a four month old. The dual transmitter ones that I saw on the internet were very expensive ($250 plus). So we have the receiver from our 2 year old's room in the baby's room and the receiver from his room downstairs. This works well for us because we have a small house and the baby is a sound sleeper. Good luck!
