Is the Diaper Good?

So I recently moved to Fresno and I stored my diapers in a cardboard box. Well in the uhaul, the box didnt get wet but it was raining along the way here. Now my pamper diapers yellow line has turned green as if its wet. They've never been used though and I'm hesitating whether I should use them. Is it bad when the inside of the diaper has collected some moisture although it isnt wet to the touch? Should I use the diapers?

What can I do next?

I'm guessing you're wondering if there's some health risk (like mould or something?) as opposed to if they will still work (hold pee). Is that what you mean? I'd call the Pampers line.

When you ask, "Is the diaper good?" do you mean, "Will it still work?" or do you mean "Will it harm my baby?"

The diaper is not going to harm your child. Will it work as well as it would fresh out of the box? Hard to say. But the worst thing that could happen is that these diapers are not quite as effective as they should have been.

I don't see a problem. As others said, they may be slightly less absorbent. You can always call the manufacturer's customer service line - for this and any other baby product related questions. But I think, if they were already too moist, you'd be able to feel it. Throwing them out seems wasteful and unnecessary.

If they look alright they’re probably fine. The stripe just detected the increased moisture. Try one to see if the absorbency is still there. They might not be quite as absobent as the were. A box of Pampers ain’t cheap! Right?!

They probably absorbed a little bit of humidity right out of the air.
If you store them in a not too humid location (inside in either a heated or air conditioned space) they will dry out again.
The crystals in diapers are exactly the same type they use to add to garden soil or potting soil to release moisture slowly to plants and they can dry out.
The diapers are fine to use.

I don't see why not, I mean, they have diapers that are meant to get water, like swimming diapers, so I don't see why it'd be a safety issue, as long as you're sure it was water and not some chemical or other irritant that may have penetrated, you should be fine.
