My niece lost her first when she was 5, and now at 7 has lost about 6, including the 2 front teeth. I wouldn't worry :)

Don't worry! It's early, but your child probably started getting her teeth early also. I find they even fall out in the same pattern as they came in, for the most part. My children (4) have all started in the early 6th. years of age. My 7-year-old boy (just turned 7 in December) has just lost his 8th tooth! It's all good! Enjoy being the tooth fairy!!!

My son is 5 and has a loose tooth as well. I lost my first tooth at 5, and I have several friends with kids who are 5 and 6 and already losing teeth. Don't be concerned at all. Just a little sad that our kids are becoming 'big kids' already!

Hi S.,

Children usually lose their first tooth sometime between age six and seven years old. Some kids are a little earlier and others a little later. If she got her first tooth early, then she will probably lose her first tooth early.

No need to worry!

Regards,

M.

Hi. My daughter turned 5 in September and lost her first tooth in November. When she went to her first dentist visit, in September, they said she would be losing some soon. They could tell from her x-rays. They didn't seem surprised at her age.

It depends on when your child started getting her teeth. The earlier the teeth come in, the earlier they start loosing them. -dyesmail-

it depends - did she teeth early? my daughter started had her first tooth by the time she was 3 months old. So of course, she started loosing teeth early.

My daughter lost her two bottom teeth two months after she turned 5 and our dentist wasn't concerned. She'll be 6 in May and her front top teeth are loose now too.
