What Age Did Your Child Lose Their First Tooth?

My son will be 7 in July and he has not lost any teeth yet, they don't even feel loose. Last time he went to the dentist he said he would probably loose one by the end of last year. His 6 year molars have come in but no teeth have been loose, just wondering what age your kids were? Also he got his first teeth at 8 months so I am not sure if that is considered late?

What can I do next?

My son lost his first tooth at 5-1/2. He lost his second tooth 3 days later. He is now 6 and no more teeth are loose yet.

Don't worry about it. My daughter is 7.5 and has only "lost" her two bottom teeth - because they had to be pulled. My nephew is a month older and just lost his first. I work in a dental office and we see it all.

Both my sister and I were either 6 or 7 when we lost our first teeth. And we didn't lose all our baby teeth until well into high school. My kids both got their first teeth late, so I'm expecting that they'll lose them late as well.

My daughter is 6 and has lost 7 teeth. We joke with her that the tooth fairy is going to go broke with her loosing all her teeth. She was an early teether though. She had all her teeth by 1 and her two year molars were in by 1 1/2. I do work in kinder and we have many many students who have not lost any teeth. Good luck

My daughter was almost 7 before she lost her first one and she was also late in her teeth coming in which I have heard goes hand in hand.

My daughter lost her first tooth at 6.5 and has lost two more since then (she will be 7 in April). As everyone else has mentioned, it is different for every kid. At his age, I wouldn't worry about it unless the dentist has some concerns.

My son's first teeth came in at 6 months and he lost his first baby tooth at 6 yrs old.
There's a wide range for normal when it comes to teeth.

My daughter lost her first tooth right after she started kindergarten - so she was 5. She has a few that are mildly loose but hasn't lost a single one since. She also got her first tooth at 4 months so an early teether may mean they lose their teeth earlier but not sure it correlates that way.

My daughter lost her first 4 teeth at 4 yo (right after her b-day) and lost the front 2 at 5 yo (just after that b-day). She is 5 and a half and getting her 6 year molars in.

All kids are different. My daughter started getting her first teeth at 3 months old and had them all by 7 months. She was getting them 2 to 4 at a time and they are falling out the same way. As long as your dentist says he is fine then I wouldn't worry. I am sure they can see the adult teeth coming in through the X-rays.

Both my daughter and my granddaughter lost their first tooth at age 7, just a few months shy of their 8th birthdays. My granddaughter, who will be 10 in March, has only lost 4 teeth to date. She has a couple loose ones now so we're waiting on those.

We all got our teeth late and lost them late. Nothing to worry about.

My daughter will be 7 in May and has not yet lost her first tooth... nothing is even loose yet. Her dentist has said not to worry about it though. They'll come out when they're ready.

My son lost his first tooth around his 7th birthday. It seemed really late to me, but based on his xrays the doctor wasn't concerned. He will be 8 in June and just recently lost his 3rd tooth. He got his teeth at about 10 months old.

mine didn't start losing until 6 or 7. My son still had baby teeth at 13 years and dentist pulled some of them out. My 8 yr old has only lost 4 and my 10 year old has lost 8 and hasn't had one fall out for over a year now. Our dentist says that if they were late bloomers, then their teeth will come out late as well. Nothing to worry about though.
