Okay, so has anyone had a similar experience? I just ended my period a week and a half ago and am starting it again. why? I am sooo bloated. My last period (1 1/2 weeks ago) was also odd, I had thought it was over and had intercourse(unprotected), to my surprise it wasn't and went on for several more days. Now i'm having another one. What is going on?! Any suggestions please.

Make an appointment with your doctor. I had a weird period in the middle of my cycle last summer and it turned out I was pregnant. The period was actually a miscarriage, but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't seen my ob. Good luck no matter what's going on!

Have you taken a pregnancy test? I had an extra long period and then 3 weeks later another period. By the time I took a pregnancy test I was 8 weeks pregnant. I thought how could I be pregnant when I've had my period. But it turned out both were spotting rather than periods. But either way you should call your doctor. Best of Luck!

I would go see your dr and ask for some tests to be done. Like mentioned below it could be hormones, or a pregnancy. A friend of mine has been battling this for a couple of yrs and they finally came to the conclusion that she has endometriosis. It really isnt something that shows on tests, but might be seen on an ultrasound. Anyway, there is usually a reason for all the bleeding, and you would be better off talking to your OB.

Can't tell you. There are many things that could cause irregular periods/bleeding. Thyroid, hormones... one of many things. I strongly suggest that you see your ob/gyn for a physical, for your peace of mind and health. You've got a house full of kids and the normal stress of day to day living can throw us a curve ball every now and then, but you've got more than the normal load.

I wish you well.

I had spotting weeks after my cycle- I went to see a OBGYN and she found that I had uterine fibroids. However, I never did anything about the fibroids and have not had any issues for about 3 years now, so I am unsure if that was any relation or not. See your doctor/OBGYN.
