Hi! I am looking into buying an Ipad. Currently all I have is an Ipod Touch. I don't have a Kindle, Nook, Ipad...For those of you who have an Ipad, what do you use it for and do you recommend it? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I love my iPad! I use it mainly to go online, but I also use it for games and Facebook. My kids love it. There is so much you can do with it! I don't take my iPad out of the house really, only because I find it bulky and heavy. But I would only take it places for my kids, so I just keep my iPod Touch with me all the time. Basically, it's a mini computer if you think about it. You will love it!

I use Ipad for internet (of course) and reading. You can download the Nook app to your Ipad, Viola, you have a Nook too! :)

We have an iPad.
You can use it for anything you would do online... and also watch movies/tv, and download apps, check your e-mail, and SO much!
It is very useful, and fun.

We also have the iTouch. It was my Husband's but he gave it to my daughter, when he got the iPad and his iPhone.
It ALL can also be synced together and is VERY useful.

Once you get an iPad, you will find it very very very, useful.

Menu planner is the best app in the world. I dreamed of an app like this 10 years ago, wanting a small computer in the kitchen for recipes, etc.

I check the weather, my bank accounts, and mampedia.

I use my iPad for everything! It's like a mini-computer.

I have Kindle on it for reading, and also iBooks. I have some music on it (most of my music is on my iTouch). The great thing is you can put your iTouch apps on the iPad and vice versa (if the are compatible.)

I have a keyboard for mine so it's like a computer. I can write letters, send emails, do spreadsheets.

I can watch netflix or other videos I put on there. Great for road trips!

I have a recipe app on there, so I use it every day in my kitchen!

I also play lots of games on there. So fun! I highly recommend getting one!

I personally love the Ipad! Its handy, and good on the go. I bought me, my fiancee, and my daughter have one. If you have kids this is good, because when your on the road , their occupied. I use it for reading, recipe apps, learning apps (for my nephew) and I like playing games on it (angry birds, temple run, sky burger, etc.) its good for social networks too! you should totally buy it! It can be a little pricey depending on how much giga bites you want.

I use mine for reading books every day. I also have AllRecipes on there and use it when I cook. I check e-mail on it, use it for web browsing when I'm too lazy to go upstairs to the computer, and then I have all the usual iPhone apps (Urban Spoon, banking, Facebook, Angry Birds, the kids have all of their game apps on there - Temple Run Brave is the latest, iTunes, etc etc). We use it for FaceTime with our relatives in Canada and Italy. It's funny, before I had an iPad, I wondered what I'd ever do with it. Now I don't know what I'd ever do without it!

My daughter was issued one last year for an advanced class (high school) she was taking. They were allowed to use them for personal use also. Other than the class and lots of note taking, or general access to the internet, she didn't have much use for it and prefered her ipod touch or laptop.

My husband's cousin, an ecomonics professor, who is also very knowledgeable when it comes to computers, is not impressed at all by the ipad. She's going to purchase a tablet.

I have heard that they are very good for reading books.

We have one and I can honestly say that I LOVE it! I am very impressesd by it, it is very easy to use and its fun! I do everything with mine, including read even though we havd a Nook and a Kindle too! My favorite 'app' (comes included) is the painting...I can spend hours playing on there and so can my kids!

I highly recommend them! Very good buy and totally worth the $$$, in my opinion.
