Hello. I have a leased vehicle and I am getting ready to turn it in. My son wrote with ink on the back of the passenger headrest. I have tried everything that I can think of and can't get it out. Any suggestions as to what will remove the ink. I don't have the upgraded leather- it is just the standard cloth with like vinyl or leather on the headrest. Thanks an advanced!

What can I do next?

Hello! I had an issue with ink on a polyester (doesn't release anything) soccer uniform. I tried every cleaner under the sun to no avail. Ultimately a 99-cent can of Suave hairspray saved the day, even after the uniform had gone through the dryer. A little spraying, a little blotting, a little spraying, a little blotting and the ink was gone.
Good luck! Andi...

The Mr clean sponge will remove almost anything. I even use it to remove permanent marker from my counter tops. Give it a try. It is one of those things that once you pick it up you can't put it down. It cleans so well.

Have you tried hairspray? That's how you remove stray marks from blouses.

Goo Be Gone is magic - you can try that. It took tar out of our carpets once.

Maybe fingernail polish remover? That's the only thing that gets scuffs off of my dress shoes.

Hi H.,
My mom used to own a restaurant. She would get a cleaning solution from Gordon's Food Service, it's a grease release and it's like a neon yellow color. We've have found it to be a wonder at taking out all sorts of stains without harming colors, however I'd do some sort of test spot first. Yes, it's pretty high in fumes but it works wonders. My son is now 3 years old and I am still using bibs from his birth on my now 6 month old and they look great with no stains, just now the material is starting to wear. It's fantastic on spaghetti, spaghetti-o's, carrots, anything with a red or orange base of stain. I've used it on whites, browns, pink, hot pink, orange colors and haven't found it to discolor at all, even after letting it sit for a day or two. Oh, and then of course it's great for cleaning the stove or your outdoor grill, even picked up a Little Tykes outdoor playhouse and it cleaned it up great.
Good luck,
Tyra

To be honest with you, you are better off not doing anything to it and turning it in. The dealership has the right stuff to remove it. If you try the other stuff and make it worse you will have to pay for it. They consider stuff like that fixable. My husband works in the service department of a dealership and has handled many lease turn ins.

This is going to sound crazy.... and I haven't tried it myself, as I just learned of this 'remedy'. But, supposidly WD-40 will remove ink from jeans...so I'm guessing it would work on a car seat. Scarry I know! It's also supposed to remove lipstick, crayon, and a variety of other things!

Try using "Goof Off" "The ultimate Remover". It can be found at Home Depot or any hardware type of store and costs approx. $5-6 dollars for a 12 oz. spray bottle. I love this stuff it gets almost everything out- ink, crayons, markers, gum, candle wax, etc. The only thing it didn't work for me was permanent marker. Our kids got permanent marker on our living room sheers and it didn't work on getting the stain out. Oh well! Good Luck! Make sure you test a small area first. The smell of this product is very strong too.
