i am looking to have some informal playdates in and around the torrance area. i haev tried the local moms clubs and they are just not a good fit for me and my children. i have 3 year old twin boys and a 5 year old daughter. she attends kindergarten but the boys and i are free weekday mornings except tuesday and thursday as my son attends speech therapy. anyone interested in meeting up at a park once a week?

I am also a sahm raising twin three year olds - a boy and a girl. I would love to meet up with other moms and kids at the park - it would be fun! My daughter also gets speech therapy twice a week during the school year through Launch - is that where you go? Anyways, if you are still interested, please let me know and we can try to schedule something. I have taken several classes through the city of Torrance, but with twins (as you probably know) it is really hard to socialize with other moms because I am constantly chasing one or the other and trying to keep them under control. Hi, T.; I'm with you! I am a 48 yo SAHM, raising a 2 year old active daughter. We take a lot of classes but I have yet to connect with any moms... We are free Monday mornings, as I have over-booked my daughter after a month of colds and cabin fever in December!
We live in Gardena, so I'm sure we can find a place close to both os us to meet up. Besides, we like to travel for great parks!

Informal playdates at a local park sounds like a good idea. I too have twins- twin girls who are 2.5 years old. I usually have the weekday mornings off as well and go to Vista del Parque at least once a week - it's a quaint park that's away from busy streets and has a library on the premises. How does meeting at this area sound?
A little bit about me - I work pt and am trying to balance work and raising the girls. We enjoy outdoor activities and going to the beach.
