Hi Ladies!
I live in So. Cal and I'm looking to see if there is any employment from working on my computer. My husband is temp totally disabled, and I work part-time, plus I work as a sub in the evenings for 5 hours. So, I'm very limited with money, want to go to school, but my stress level is very high right now. I'm a people person, but don't want to do any sort of parties, or MLM. Is there such an option of working for a company at home with my computer? Please email me if you are aware of this, or know someone who does! God bless you...Thanks Ladies!!
Wow! You ladies are awesome! After doing research, and thinking about what I truly need right now, is a parttime job online. We currently have a legal matter so I cannot have my own business for now. You guys have given me so much info, and I am looking into them. Thank you so much! I feel very blessed that my friend Nivia emailed me about this site. God bless you, and if you know of any other jobs for online work (no 1099's) then send them my way!! I will also relay any info to the ladies who are also looking for work. I also have a passion to encourage women...and if I could make money doing that....well that would be perfect!!
Thanks!!!! -hugs- M.

I have heard from several sources that VIPDesk.com is a legitimate online employer. However, the internet is just filled with work-from-home scams! You might want to check out this article: http://southbayparentsonline.com/2008/01/16/avoid-workath...
Also, if you are interested in participating in focus groups or getting the kids earning money in t.v., film, and commercials (it's really fun for them-you don't have to become a stage parent or anything!)then you should read: http://southbayparentsonline.com/2007/12/06/earn-extra-mo.... Good luck to you in whatever you choose!
I've sold things on E-bay too. Now, I have my own web boutique doing graphic designing and selling t-shirts etc. It's using Cafe Press ( www.cafepress.com) as the manufacturer. If you like doing something creative and know how to use computer graphics software it's really great and a nice creative outlet. Some people even sell their photography (printed onto t-shirts) or artworks. It's real fun. I have made a good amount of "pocket change" from it, since I am a SAHM and need the extra money since my Hubby is the only one working. My daughter has even made some designs for my store too. She says "I"m proud of you Mommy... I like your store." Businesses and corporations & non-profits even sell their own logo'd t-shirts via Cafe Press too. But, like anything it takes time "learning" about it. But it's fun. And my hubby is glad I found something I like that can make money. It's not expensive to have a "store" via Cafe Press and you make what you want at your own pace. I've had no bad experiences at all. It has been affordable for me. Well just sharing something that I do, which has been a nice thing for me.
Perhaps "advertise" yourself at University campuses, and do typing or editing papers for people or Professors....some people work as "contract" workers and put a "resume" on Monster.com etc, and do projects for companies/corporations. Or do a search on telecommuting jobs. There are also "freelance" websites (http://www.google.com/search?q=freelance+jobs&ie=utf-...)
you can check out.
Take care and good luck, hope you get a lot of ideas here!

M., have you considered advertising yourself as a virtual assistant? I'm a lawyer in Carlsbad and many small to mid-sized law firms and other employers have need for people who can help them with marketing and secretarial tasks that can generally be done from the virtual assistant's home computer. Just a thought. You might try and do a web search to get some general job descriptions then post your services on monster.com or other similar job posting boards. A temp agency may also be able to secure you employment as a virtual assistant. I'm not sure where you are located but you can also contact Christine Simelius at ____@____.com or ###-###-#### X16 (she is with On Call Administrative Services). They are located in Carlsbad.
Here are some programs I am involved in. Each one provides a little income but together they add up. They are all free to join. I recommend having several streams of income so that you do not put all of your eggs in one basket. Good luck!

M.,
Hi! I am sorry for the challenges you and your husband are facing right now. My name is B. and I live in Altadena. I lost my husband at the age of 46 and was left with 3 daughters to raise. So besides my full time jobe and found a fabulous "ground floor" business that we can do from the home. The company's name is KYANI and they are part of the Health & Wellness industry. If you follow the "baby boomers' and their needs this company is on top of it! They make two excellent products for every day health: Sunrise whichis an "Alaskan Blueberry juice supplement (all the vitamins that both kida nd adults can drink) and the Sunset (omega 3s/Fatty acids) that are made from Wild Alaskan Sockeeye Salmon, the purest form of omega 3s. Their compensation package is very generous and this is easy. No inventory needed to keep, no deliveries you have to make and no schlepping of products for home parties. Check out the website and then you can call me is you wish. ###-###-####. www.kyani.net/ubets check it out.
Blessings to you and your family. B. H
M.,
I also work full time and do consulting. I believe in the old adage of multiple streams of income. My husband and I have tried many things in the 26 years of marriage, it got to the point where friends would sign us up for anything. I was doing research on allergies and asthma looking for something that was safe for the home. I just knew in my heart that using bleach, Lysol around my kids were causing symptoms, hyperactivity, running noses, bloody noses, asthma, immune deficiency and headaches. My Dr. told me that my bronchitis was caused by chemicals. I stumbled across a company called Melaleuca. I ordered from them with help from a friend. I took all of my junk products out and replaced it with the natural products and everyone's health improved. I then read about the business side of the company and called the lady who helped me. I had 5 days till the end of the month. I started telling my friends and by the 5th day in 16 hrs. I had earned over 500 dollars. I did it again the next month plus helped someone and continued to do this, by my 3rd month I had made 1500 dollars. This was a shock to me. I still love the products, company, and health my family is enjoying. They have been eco-friendly for over 25 years. I highly recommend them. Just see for yourself. email:____@____.com I'd love to help!
All the best, Debbie
I understand your situation. I just started a great at home business called SendOutCards. You can do it all from home on your computer if you'd like. You just have to know people to contact to share it with. It is an online greeting card system for business owners as well as family friends. They are not e-cards, but beautiful greeting cards (choose from over 10,000 and even create your own custom photo cards). People can even use their own handwriting font to make it look even more personal. Very cool! I walk people through the system over the phone while they are in front of their computer and I am in front of mine. I love it!!!
If you would like more information, just let me know. You can visit my site at www.sendoutcards.com/36700. Let me know what you think. I wish you all the best!

Have you considered an online retail website? Just find something you enjoy, and start selling! I'm not gonna lie, it's a pretty big process to get all of the licenses and permits to legally start a retail business (FBN, CA State Sellers permit, Business License, Home Occupation Permit), not to mention setting up your website and obtaining wholesale accounts with vendors, but it is sooooo worth it!
The biggest pointer I could give is to stick to an area you love when deciding what to sell. That's what I did. I am passionate about natural parenting (cloth diapers, baby carriers, etc.) so I started a website selling these types of things. www.keenbambino.com
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
ETA: Just be sure you do get all the required permits & licenses if you do decide to sell. I see soooo many SAHMS who decide they're just going to open their own business, but never actually research all the steps you need to take to LEGALLY open your own business in the state of CA. They think they can just start selling stuff, and it's as easy as that. You can get in a lot of trouble that way.
I saw many people mentioning the "virtual assistant" thing. my husband has actually used a couple of those in some of the websites he has made. he went to "e-lance.com" and there posted his job and got several replies and he chose the best one he thought could do the job.
so you should go on there, find some jobs you could do for people and then put in your bid of how much you would like to be paid for it.
good luck!
Depending upon your level of skills on the computer Odesk.com is a great way to find little projects to do for companies. From a virtual assistant to web designer. Its worth looking at.
I also in So. Cal : )
Try looking on http://www.mysteryshop.org/ It is a good start and related with the BBB. The website is for the MSPA (mystery shopping providers association).
There are companies that telephone call or you can go out and do the mystery shopping. Check it out! It is all independent contractor no direct hire to a company.
Also unlike some companies you don't need to invest your money to get started. There is no selling or inventory required all of it is free.
Hi M., I work from home and LOVE it! We don't do parties, selling, stock or ship inventory, and there is no large investment! If you are interested, request more info. at www.workingmommyathome.com and I will call you back within 24 hours.
Hi M.,
I know of a company in Escondido that wants to market their products by word of mouth. They have it set up so it's just through e-mail and there's an e-video presentation. You don't buy anything, you just get a percentage of whatever people buy through your link. I don't think I should mention the name here but if you're interested you can e-mail me. The products are a series of books, games and toys to teach morals and character development, designed my a mom of 3. She has a Christian base.
I just read a few of the other responses and noticed they put the websites of different companies so I guess it's okay. Here's the link.
https://www.mylifesbuildingblocks.com/LoriMitchell
I did the illustrations for the books and I really like the ideas behind all the products.
Hi, M.
My name is P. and I work from home and I have two children that I home school. I make an average of 50.00 dollars and hour. You can work from your computer as well.
My number is ###-###-####
Hi M.
I am a single mom and live in So. Cal, I definitely understand the need. I try to tell ALL ladies especially Moms about this information. I will try to include the link so you can check out the video
http://wserver0.prepaidlegal.com/Multisite/Multisite?site...
I praise God for the service and the income. I hope to help you as well. It is awesome. You can call my home office toll free at 1-877-210-3435. I look forward to speaking with you.
Word processing, medical and legal transcription, copyediting are a few jobs that can be done from home. Hooking up with employers who hire home-based subcontractors is not always so easy, which is why I have not gone that route. But I know there are lots of people who work from home for their own clients doing this kind of work. For some people, it's as easy as printing business cards and getting them out into the community,
good luck
SO I am in the same boat. I am currently looking into classes to do Medical Transcription. You work for a dr or hospital from home. They pay .09 cents per line with a average of 1,000 lines a day. I've looked into jobs and the market is huge. B/c its from home you can work for dr. anywhere in the US. The classes cost and take some time, but to me it looks worth it. My best friends mom has been doing this for 15 years and as a single mom supported her children on her income. Google it and see if it could be for you.
What about medical billing? I've seen information on that. Glad to here you have Jesus! I can't imagine the stress of life without him. I too am in SoCal and know it is hard to work anywhere you don't have to drive thirty minutes to get to.
M.,
I actually have found that watching 1-2 other kids while you are at home can bring in enough money to make ends meet. There are a lot of moms that have to work now and this way they feel good about who they are leaving their kids with and you can stay home with your own. Just a thought, I started doing this because I didn't want to have to leave my own kids during the day. Good luck!
I'm with you on the home parties. With a 4 year old...who has the time? I found this company and have been with them for a year now. They are so great. There's no selling, no inventory...check out my two sites to get some info! I hope you like what you see! It will be a huge benefit for you and your family in so many ways!

I bet you will get lots of responses like mine. I too would like to work from home with my computer. Please let me know if you get any good ideas from anyone! Thanks,

I heard about an author on Christian radio last week on Prime Time America, and he has a book called , '10 ways to make money on the Internet". It sounds legitimate to me.

Hi M. -
Wow! What a lot you are dealing with right now -- first off, let me send you some blessings and say I hope your husband will recover soon and I do hope you have lots of help with your home and your kids.
I don't actually have lots of completely researched advice, but I am myself working from home on my computer and am wanting to expand what I do so I can make a living this way. People can do proofreading from home and there are lots of things on the internet about finding that sort of work. I just don't have anything specific to suggest because I haven't gotten around to looking for it myself yet. Doctors often hire outside people to do billing for them. I'm not positive about this, but doctors may still need transcribers as well. Also many real estate brokers hire people to handle their files for them, making sure all documents are signed, keeping them in order, etc. That's called Transaction Coordinating. You'd have to get lucky and find someone willing to train, but you may know someone and not even realize it.
I hope some of these ideas help and I wish you all the best.
Colleen
Hello!
You can try Google ad evaluation--basically--you review ads for Google before they are placed on websites. Here is a link:
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/07/work-from-home-for-goo...
Hope this helps! I am working for them now---it is great. I am a stay at home mom--and a writer/actor---so this has helped.
Best of luck to you!
J.
Hi there M..
I hope this email finds you having a good day. I am a stay home mom to four boys (all are four and under.) We experienced the same sort of transition - needing extra income but I needed to be home. I outsourced myself as a collection agent from home. I don't call personal houses, but rather businesses. Credit and collections was something I did bk (before kids.) So I decided that I would pick up a few accounts that needed someone to do collection part time and do it from home. I get to charge more because we use my resources. I would suggest you take what you know and try to outsource yourself from home - you would be surprised how many businesses in your area would need it.
I hope that helps. Good luck.
P.
sorry, I was curious too!
I am in Oceanside, CA. I have an opportunity for you if you're interested. You can do this from your home and just the few people that you do come in contact with. Whatever you're going through, I pray for you strength and wisdom, not just for your family, but yourself.
I am a work from home mom and mother of 2, ages 9 and 5. If you are computer savvy and know anyting about e-commerce then you might want to look into www.candlewealth.com/soulmates . It is an eco-friendly company that is totally hybrid where you DO NOT have to participate in MLM marketing. If you love candles, you'll love this company. There are classes that teach you how to do this business in Huntington Beach, San Dimas, Covina and Monrovia. The class is $20 and you can get started in YOUR own business for as little as $100. Websites, marketing and advertising as well as training are all included with your upstart costs. May not be what you are looking for, but worth a look nonetheless. As far as medical billing and transcription from home...(I've done that too) you need to be certified in order to get quality work. The certification courses are everywhere, but can be pricey and unless you know someone who can refer work to you or get a job with a medical transcription firm, it can be quite competitive.
I don't know much about the Mentone/Redlands area, due to the fact I'm going to be moving there by the end of February. I was talking to a friend of mine about working from home and one suggestion she made was transcribing for doctors. I know there is a wonderful hospital in Loma Linda, so that might be a good place to investigate. She said the job can pay up to 30 dollars an hour. I'm not saying that's what you will get, unless you have some experience, but it's worth a try. Basically, it entails transcribing their tapes into document form. She said she found information about it on Careerbuilder.com. Hope it helps or maybe it will help with more brainstorming ideas.
Sincerely,
T..
I am a busy mommy with three kids, at one point all three years and under. Needed extra money to help out, I had a full time job already. So I tried MLM, did not work for me. But I got into this link and has been very succesful, try it. All from home on your computer.

Hi M., I understand you are a people person, so are you willing to contact people by phone as well as through your computer and have conversations, or to meet with people in small groups or 1x1? While you say you don't want to do parties or an MLM, those are great ways to make really good income. If you are open to hearing about the products behind my business, you will see that the products are so great that it's easy to tell others about it. You can do that as you need to work it into your life. Let me know if you are interested in hearing more--there is never any obligation and the start up is very low.
Blessings!
Hi M.,
I would suggest that you put alot of thought, when you have the time right ...? to try and find some skills that you have that you can use now. For me, I do Quickbooks for my bookkeeping, and became quite savy with it. Once my kids were born, I needed to find a way to make $$$ from home, and I have been able to pick up three clients who have very small business who need help with their bookkeeping. It's far from glamorous but helps with the bills.
Good luck, and hang in there!
I have a friend that supports her husband and her two kids by doing medical transcription.....her husband is also 100% disabled and her daughter just graduated from college. She works about 40 hours a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, but she does earn a good living.
I had a neighbor, that made a good living ,here in So Ca. working for a Drs. office. She did his billing for him from her computer.
My friend buys things from garage sale that are very very nice and sale them on e-bay. Also someone else sales make-up on e-bay. Just a idea. MR
my sister currently works from home. call her at ###-###-#### her name is Roxana Iraheta.

Best regards,
hi M.!
aaawww too bad you don't want to do MLM because our company is on top of the list. the best part? we're recession proof. the trend leads to health and wellness and we are definitely here to stay. our products meet GMPs (good manufacturing practices), adhering to standards higher than FDA since we're not regulated by them because vitamins aren't considered food nor a drug. the products sell themselves basically. we simply share nutritionals people can trust . we see ourselves as educators...helping others gain knowledge of a high quality necessity in preserving health and wellness. check out the opportunity and if it still doesn't interest you, perhaps you might be interested in sampling the products and gain your own testimonial. perhaps that alone might persuade you to do the business for your family. i started with that. i love the products so much that i couldn't see why i shouldn't share them with others. the business really came as a bonus. if i weren't doing the business, i sure would use the products and share them actively with others anyway, so why not get commission while i refer others right? i'm a mama of 2 boys, 3 and 5, who take USANIMALS (vitamins for children). my husband and i also take supplements as well as the shakes, nutritional bars in addition to personal hair care products. buying these great products for our daily lives satisfy in keeping our business active. we're building our business one day at a time stress-free. i went back to school for a 2nd degree, and this time it's for nursing. i plan to bring the business as i enter that field or work and share it with my colleagues in hopes that they will help me bring awareness by sharing them with their patients as well. i see it as helping others one person at a time. it takes a lot of heart. i never want to be a salesperson. i gotta have passion for what i do and this helps me fulfill my need to help others. it's one of the best decisions we've made. pray for it of course. i sure wouldn't have done it without prayers. God would only laugh at me as i plan and plan without consulting Him anyway. so, leave it to Him.
the opportunity is available. the company is compliant in 14 different countries. it is also publicly traded with call letters USNA so you can research it if you'd like. i also looked for work using my computer and other "work from home" seemed shady requiring certifications, licensing, payment for applications that are overpriced etc. the start up cost for this is small and you know exactly where your money goes to. pray about it. God bless you and your decision! here's my website. www.globalsynergy.usana.com and click on opportunity or products. should you decide that you'd like to try it out, simply enroll online. let me know what you decide on. take care.
in Christ, M.
I know of a Christian based company that might be what you are looking for. It is totally legite and is low cost. Please contact me for more information.###-###-####
You can look into YTB (Your Travel Biz). They offer 2 business opportunities, the recruiting part (which i know you are not interested) or you can get your own website. You can have your friends and family book their vacations through your site and make a commision. No parties, No recruiting. All you do is tell people about your travel site. It is the same thing that they would buy from Expedia but you get the commision instead. You can check out the business at http://hillhaventravel.vacationmedia.net You can also check out my travel website at www.hillhaventravel.com. This is what your site would look like. If you have anymore question please e-mail me at ____@____.com a wonderful day, L. H
