It's a place on 1960 that's called Portrait Innovations and do some really great pictures.They are very reasonable too I enjoy taking my kids there.The cost is 9.95 and you get to choose from so many different poses too.
I am a picture CRAZY! We first started taking our son to Studio One to One...that didn't last but a few times. Then we took him to Sears and The Picture People (every month until he turned 1) Finally at 6 months we tried Portrait Innovations and have never been anywhere else since! My family and I all use JCPenney. That may not be as high end as some of the places mentioned, but as often as we take photos, we cannot afford a specialized photographer. I just had my four year old's portraits done and they did a great job. I would browse the web for portrait ideas, then take my own props to recreate those poses.
Also, I always stress out about what to dress my kids in (and myself if I'm going to be in the portraits) but the best ones we've taken have been in simple t-shirts or polo style shirts in coordinating colors. Hope this helps, I love portraits!!!
I didn't have such good luck at the studio...my son can be a little cranky at times :) I recently visited Clarine Smith with Clarine Smith Photography and was AMAZED at the fabulous pictures! I would recommend Be True Phtography. They are wonderful with my kids and are have wonderful patience towards cranky kids and know how to get that priceless picture you are looking for.
Hi B.. We use Sears. I know that it seems kind of cheesy, but we have been pretty happy with them. I have only had 1 experience (in about 10) where the guy didn't get a REALLY good picture. I have used Sears in the Dallas area and then in San Antonio we go to the one that used to be Central Park Mall - 410 & San Pedro.
You can buy a Smile Savers membership for $20-30 which lasts for 2 years and gives you free sitting fees. Then they have these deals where you can get 1 8x10, 2 5x7s, a sheet of wallets and some minis for $9.99. It's a pretty good deal. The only thing is that for the $9.99 package you can only pick one pose. So, that's the worst part, you have to decide which of the cute poses you want. I hope this helps.
